When I grow up I’d like to be a whale

After a few weeks just meeting the community and making some mistakes (buying Steem after a pump and holding them for months, “curating content” with a penny of Steem Power, among others that I don´t wanna think of), I wanted to introduce myself and let you know that, yes, I want to be a whale when I grow up.

I’m impressed with the Steem project so far and its objectives of letting authors get rid of the advertising industry, or any centralized control, by giving value to the content not as a mean, but as an end. I can hardly imagine all the positive changes the Steem economy will make in today’s world. I can also see the potential of an immediate relief to the economic situation of many friends drowned by the Venezuelan politic war. So yes, I wish I was a whale and had so much (Steem) power to support and help everyone.

By the way, is there any plan to localize Steemit (translate the whole site and filter the content into local languages)? I talked a friend about Steemit and she said, “What’s that? There are things in Chinese…”. I know there are tags such as “Spanish”, but it would be nice to further filter, say the Spanish content, into subcategories.
