Hello Steemit Community!

Hello, Steemit community, and Happy Earth Day! I am a newbie here so bear with me as I learn the ropes (and feel free to provide some feedback)!

Who Am I?

My name is Anne and I’m a naturopathic doctor and birth doula by profession - I live and practice in Aurora, Ontario currently (which is ~40 minutes north of Toronto). You can find out more about my practice on my website.

I am a lover of nature, animals, chocolate, travel, tea, DIY skin care, vegan food, plant-based cooking, music, my alto saxophone, fantasy books, herbalism, arts and crafts, magnesium baths, and a variety of other things. In addition to all of that, I'm passionate about healthy living, being kind to others and our planet, and empowering people to live a life congruent with their values so that they can be the best possible versions of themselves.

How did I find Steemit?

My husband introduced me to the Steemit community and here I am! He’s the one who has taught me about blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and a variety of other things as well. I still have lots of learning ahead of me - especially how blockchain will impact the different sectors of our economy, business, and daily life in general.

I’m hoping to connect with people from all over the world; I want to see what other people are sharing, I want to learn from others about a variety of different topics, I want to be part of a decentralized global community, and I want to share what I’m passionate about with you!

What will I be posting here?

I’m thinking that I’ll be posting about health in relation to all of the things that I love - naturopathic medicine and lifestyle tips you can easily incorporate into your life, optimizing hormones and eating well, DIY skincare and non-toxic beauty, chocolate & plant-based recipes, nature & plants, and perhaps something different every now and again. I write a recipe blog for my website and naturopathic concepts on a couple of different online publications; however, I’d like to contribute my ideas, opinions, and knowledge on this platform as well.

If you want me to post on something specific or if you like certain posts and want more like that, let me know and I’ll be happy to oblige! I’m also happy to answer health-related questions; however, please know that I can only give general advice in a public setting.
