Wow, that's great. I have a 4,5-year-old daughter, I hope to see her that confident like you are in 17=) If you start that early, who do you wish to become when you're 27?=) Sorry for slapply English, not my native language...

I brought her up by being strict but always respectful to her.
She went through a challenging phase when she was 9-11 with the shouting and stomping and swearing and, "I hate you mum!" but I always stayed calm and told her that I would listen to her requests if she asked properly and that being a mum isn't a popularity contest and I still loved her no matter what mean things she said to me! Sometimes I changed my mind and let her have her way and sometimes I didn't but I always gave her good reasons.
By the time she was 12 she was a great kid who I could trust to make good life choices!
