Hello Steemit Community!! It has been over a month and I think I should introduce myself and share my experience with you all. I am a simple guy who lives in a small town. I am a funny guy of my family but outside the home its hard for me to mix up with other people. I take my sweet time lol.
I love nature so much, I love being in nature I just love it. I don't like cities/ crowded places. At nights, I imagine myself being in nature, sitting on a rock meditating ;D.
A nearby Forest
I feel sad about how humans are leading the wrong way, destroying nature. There are so many things that are going the wrong way but since it is not "What I think about...." article, I am not gonna bore you with my opinions about random things.
I also like lifting weights, It's been long though as there are few things that are keeping me busy.
My user name says one more thing about myself that I love art, I love to create art and but I do not consider myself as an artist yet. How I started with art is really interesting.
When I was a kid, my elder brother used to draw different things so perfectly and clean while me running and jumping around.
I finally took his cue and start doing drawings over newspapers just for fun. Being a kid, I wasn't serious about it but from there I started sketching. I used to sketch behind my schools notebooks and started drawing with my imagination. Some of my teachers and my friends would praise my drawings.
I was in last year of my school when I decided I want to become an artist. So, for me it was my brother who inspired me to create art.
Unfortunately, There were not good academies around. I changed two academies and finally decided to do it all by myself. So here I am, a self taught guy and still learning.
What kind of Art I do?
I do sketches, digital art (I am not that good at it though), graphic design, 3d modeling and sculpting, texturing, rigging, Animation (3d and traditional but more comfortable with 3d), video editing and basic particle effects. I am focusing on game development and I will share a basic game pretty soon. ;))
How I got to know About Steemit and my experience so far.
Actually, I was watching a video on youtube. The video was about people not liking youtube's ads censorship policy changes. I read a comment of a random perosn saying "dtube is an alternative switch to it".
I visited dtube and tried to upload one of my drawing videos. It was required to have a steem account so I made this and thats how I got introduced to the steemit.
My experience on Steemit is pretty good so far. There are so many good artists that one can look up to. Great community. Its just one month and one of my artwork has been featured in ocd daily: Issue #69.
Beside that I get to know so many good people here that take their time and comment their honest opinions on my posts.
What new people are doing wrong and few tips
Most of the people are here for money, you have to agree with on that. I see many people complain about why they are not earning enough. Let me tell you about this girl who was rather frustrated about her earnings being so less. She was telling people to follow her. I asked her what does she blog about?
She gave me a link. Her blog was about food and recipes and I noticed that her profile was older but she had only been around since five days. One of her post had 5 dollars and other had 3 dollars.
I said to myself "atleast doing good than me" lol. I told her, "you are doing good already, it takes time and keep posting good stuff."She then said she wants other people to follow her.
I told her that she is Actually doing good and to make people follow, just follow similar blogs and comment on posts. People do respond and follow back. She replied with a "Yes, thankyou" and a "Yes, bye" I told her "good luck" then She left.
I don't know why, she sounded so pissed. But her posts were pretty good and she was on a right track. There was nothing to worry about.
TIP: Connect with other people with same interest as you using Steem Chat or there is one more thing called Discord.
There was another guy who DM me and asked for an upvote. I said OK and upvoted the post. 2 or 3 days passed, New link same wish. I replied "You Already have wasted your three wishes" JOKING I didn't say that.
I told him that the article is about a different topic and no doubt it is well written but not for me. Besides my voting weight was too low to help.
What I wanna say that asking for upvotes and follow is not gonna take you far. After sometime, you are going to get bored from this game anyway.
How well your post performs is totally depends on your content and even if it is well written and detailed, It is not necessary that you will get a good amount.
Here are three factors that decide your earning (there could be so many factors that I may not know):
- Quality of your post (Don't even have to tell)
- Your followers and reach your post gets through resteems and mentions.
- Genre of your post
From genre, I mean if you blog about the topics that are hot/trendy/popular you are likely to get more traffic/audience. There are so many channels on youtube with so many professional videos teaching designing and stuff but they don't get as much views as any prank or gaming video gets.
This is because of one simple reason, Entertainment and Gaming are the hot topics. With that being said, It doesn't mean you just stop blogging about what you are actually good at and start shooting prank videos, throwing senseless lines and taking punches in return lol. Do what you do good and be patient!!

I am working on few things outside of steemit, but I will try my best to keep posting interesting posts!! And if you find any grammar mistakes (sorry!) please don't comment about it unless you have the patience to tell me those mistakes lol :D Have a nice day!!
[EDIT: I see people are following me (You don't have to do this though) and asking for followbacks. No problem I will follow but If I don't see any participation or any interaction of yours, I will unfollow. I follow people coz I really like the stuff they post and I do participate and comment and ask questions. I don't see any point in 'me following you back' unless you post art related stuff. So please follow me if you really like my stuff and don't expect a followback if you post
super random stuff. Have a nice day!! :D

Hey @artlover Thanks for sharing your background. Amazing how you got into art as well as how you discovered steemit. We all took different paths to get here and that's incredible. You made valid points about new people and the 'Do's and Don'ts' Unfortunately, many people just beg for upvotes and followers, and people don't respond to that. If a person wants followers and upvotes, then they should write good content (like you mentioned) and engage with others WITHOUT requesting a follow or an upvote. BTW I am an English teacher and there are few mistakes, but nothing that changes the meaning :) Keep it up!

Thank you nomad17 :)), Yeah and these people get flagged for spamming other blogs from their "follow me" comments. You won't believe I see people who are around for a while now, abusing "introduce yourself" tag. They use this tag for their normal posts just to get the traffic lol.
I remember you told me that you are an English teacher :D Thanks for telling me about the mistakes :))
