My name is Astaroche Plemons but you can call me Asta. To get the question out of the way early it's pronounced "Ahstuh-roeshay" I get asked a lot haha. :)

My husband Roy Plemons, suggested Steem for me. I'm using Steem to broaden my experiences in travel photography and to share in these experiences with you. I will be posting photos, tips on camera vs cell phone use, and the adventures of my pet rats during our travels.

More about Me:
I grew up in a small forgotten town in Tennessee. My family has always had a wandering gene and I'm no different. I grew up loving music, anime, videogames, hiking, fishing, gardening, and photography. My plan was to get my Environmental Science degree and travel the world helping out fellow scientists. I learned Life doesn't care about what you think you want. It'll show you what you need.

2014 changed my life. I was just going through the motions in life trying to get by when I met this man that turned everything upside down and set me on the path I needed to be. I now call that man my Husband. Roy got me out of the little town where life was stagnant. We ended up getting pet fancy rats. You really haven't experienced love from a pet until you've had rats. They have been perfect travel companions. Our boys are named Ganon, Remi, Riku, Wade, and Slade. Slowly I realized that like my mother, I loved adventure and I loved taking photos of the experiences. The rats love coming along.

Today we travel the U.S. with our boys and I take photos of daily things we see or do. Everyday is a new adventure. I intend to capture it all for the world to see. If things go well hopefully I can finally go to other counties and shoot photography while learning about their cultures to share with the world
