A Little Bit About Me

in introduceyourself •  7 years ago  (edited)

One of the hardest things for me to do is to introduce myself. I really don't know where to start from, but I will try as much as possible to give it my best shot.

I'm Audrey Bitrus, that's where the name "audreybits" came from, I am a Nigerian, (well, I don't think that makes any difference anyway), I am 20 years old, and a little bit of an introverted person....

I love to see life through a different lens, but that doesn't mean I have life all figured out, I love to explore life also and write on diverse topics.

I don't just want to earn (which may or may not happen), but I want to learn more, connect with people, grow and also add value to this awesome community by posting quality and inspiring content. I will post about life, faith and pretty much everything inspiring. I don't know if I did well, but I guess I tried.

Feel free to tell me about yourself too, I will be glad to read them.

Welcome to steemit!
I am a bot built for the purposes of welcoming new users! You are receiving this message as you have used the #introduceyourself tag! I know that steemit may seem very overwhelming to you right now but don't worry. There's a learning curve to everything so just be patient and you'll be churning out posts and becoming a part of something great in no time!

Also if there are any questions that you may have, then just ask your questions on any of my blog posts and I'll be more than happy to assist you with whatever questions you may have! I will also be creating a basic starting out guide for all minnows and newcomers on my blog so do give it a read as that might help answer many of your questions!

Have fun and I wish you LOADS of success on here! :)

Also. you can call upon originalworks whenever something you post is your own content like this: @originalworks

welcome to the Steem blockchain @Audreybits and also welcome to COM, hope you'll get back online and see the lovely welcome waiting for you when you get into Discord!

It really is lovely. Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hi, @audreybits! I know this is too late to be a welcome and it isn't.

I wanted to let you know that the very first thing I noticed about you is that your written English is flawless and your "voice" is as natural as if you were speaking. Those make a rare combination for a young(er than I am) person and your few introduction paragraphs and the comments you made on my post about the hidden memory gem clearly show that your introduction does not tell the interesting things about you.

My next project is to read every post you have made.

Will

Its not too late to be a welcome! Thanks so much!

Yeah, I didn't do a great job with the introduction, I actually do have issues talking about myself, I leave a whole lot of details out. Hahahah!

Thank you so much for the compliment, I really do appreciate! I hope you get to push through with that project, it will be great to know your thoughts about my posts here...

I leave a whole lot of details out.

The things left out of any story are the real story. Even though never mentioned, they almost shout out their presence.

" 'Couriouser and couriouser,' cried Alice"

That could be true.... Well, maybe someday we may get to explore those untold stories...

Lol!

I don't encounter enigmas very often.

Today is not one of those days and "someday" seems more interesting.

I am not sure there are too many interesting things about me, I do hope that "someday" will be worth it. Lol

To be 21, you are far above average in your written English skills and your writing ability. That means you have a quality education and that is a rare commodity these days, and that makes it interesting.

None of us chose the environment we grew up in and our own lives are always boring to ourselves, but they seldom are to others.

People who are reluctant to talk about themselves are usually shy (which you are not or you would not be on Steemit) or they leave out things they think would make others feel inferior (which is not your fault) but are still endlessly interesting to others.

BTW, you would be surprised at the number of college graduates I would not hire when I was working because of their poor written English. I screened applications for professional positions based on their use of the language and rejected all with obvious grammatical errors. It very often was a high as 80% rejects! That frequently did not leave enough with proper work skills to fill the vacant jobs I was interviewing for.

80% rejects? That's quite alot! Wow...

Oh wow!! I was quite busy that I didn't even get to notice that! Thank you so much, Barge... And that you for your support through my journey...

You are one beautiful soul...
