I'm Barb. I read/ listen to about 70 books a year, usually on history, Buddhism, science fiction, historical fiction, and humor. I'm intellectually curious, love learning, running (slowly, but it happens), and helping people and animals. I'm a fundraiser, wife, peacemaker, feminist, Star Wars geek, writer, meditator with ADD and an autoimmune disease. I have a young dog and two senior cats. I love my life. It's not perfect, but it's the only one I got, so I'll take it.

I'm on a personal crusade to destigmatize mental health issues and learning disabilities, and I'm always super grateful when I find those looking to do the same!
My next writing project is to come up with guides for those with ADHD and their managers. I was asked to do this years ago for one of my staff members who appreciated how I managed her, however as someone else who has ADHD, I'm just getting around to it now!

I listen to a lot of audiobooks while I drive, get ready in the morning, do chores, etc.
I agree. I don't expect life to be perfect. I do love my life, but I don't want to give anyone the false impression that it's perfect. That's such an easy thing to do on social media!
