Welcome from the Cryptosphere

Welcome to our blog, we have been trading, mining, and researching cryptocurrencies since October 2013. Back then, the primary focus was on Bitcoin (of course Litecoin was around and Doge eventually made an appearance, with many altcoins making efforts to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack) since it was what everyone was talking about (or so it seemed). Figuring out why it had value, how the math (cryptographic keys) secured it, and how decentralization provides a robust network that anyone in the world can take part in was really exciting. This of course led to the realization of a 51% attack on Proof of Work (PoW) systems which started the never ending search for elusive GPU’s to build our first mining rig and contribute our small part to combat the possible 51% attack. Of course, looking back our small mining rig would hardly make a dent in preventing this very thing but we wanted to do our part and hoped everyone else was as well.

Today, Bitcoin is still around and has recently seen record highs with the expected correction well underway at the time of this writing. We also see many new contenders in this space and seeing competing projects in an unproven sector (unproven business model, not tech) is certainly an exciting time to be in the cryptosphere. What started out as fractions of Bitcoin’s has led us to more diversification and investigation into how each of these technologies work and how to stay safe and control each of them.

Our goal is to have a conversation around the burgeoning cryptosphere and stay on top of the newest offering from the most interesting projects out there. We also aim to discuss Crypto Basics including how to maintain your own wallets (private keys), how to trade (including platform overviews/reviews), and even explore market analysis or financial basics. We look forward to starting this conversation with you and can’t wait to hear your ideas and interests so that we can share ours as well!
