@beachbuminvestor introducing @gilly to the Steemit community. Good to have you on body'board' mate (little pun there).
It is not often I feel truly humbled by my knowledge of the evolution of bodyboarding. James Gilbert or "Gilly" as he is affectionately known by fellow D'bah frother's, was there when it all began. Forget about the bodyboard/surfer wars I went through in the 90's, @gilly was pioneering our sport before the bodyboard we know and love today had even been created.
All you groms still mucking around with Facebook need to pay attention to Gilly, this man is a trendsetter, bold enough to break away from the crowd. He did it with bodyboarding and now he's done it with steemit.com. Gilly showed strength in the presence of the backlash that derived from the mainstream surf culture. He persisted through the hate culture we all know too well - "Get to your feet mate, you're not even surfing!".
Gilly first started his venture with a belly mat without any foam foundation at all. From what I see of Gilly, I'm betting he was throwing himself over some pretty big ledges.
Always the competitor and the humble frother, I'd like to introduce the Steemit community to @gilly. If we had a bodyboarding hall of fame this guy would run it. So, if you have any questions about the history and evolution of this future 'hall of famer', leave the comments at the bottom of this article and Gilly will reply. He has a wealth of knowledge and love for booging so hit him up for a history lesson in the sport I love.
I look forward to seeing that wicked bodyboard with the deep channels you showed me posted real soon @gilly. Froth levels are going to go through the roof on that one! The boys are going to love it! When your Steemit account gets approved, I for one... will be liking it first. Despite already seeing it, the least I can do is contribute to the bodyboarding community.

In the right waves bodyboarding isthe funnest sport ever! I've been riding a surfboard for the last 2 years, mainly cause the waves arent suited to bodyboard where im at. But man do I have cravings to hit a heavy shorey on alid!

Anytime mate. Sorry it took so long @jordantondy actual sorted that out as thanks for the rescue. Kid's a computer nut. Sorted it out in like 2 seconds. Would have been good if we had him there today to sort out us trying to use the esteem app. Think the groms were having a giggle.
