Hello Steemit!

As mentioned in the title.. I'm a guy who draws and paints.
Currently I'm living in the Netherlands and working as a freelance concept artist & illustrator for the game and film industry.

I used to be a network engineer for Cisco in Amsterdam, but when the crisis in 2008 hit my job sort of disappeared. I wasn't fired or anything.. there just wasn't anything to do anymore. So on a day I decided to see if I could draw a little.. I always like doodling on my notepad when i was on the phone but it never occurred to me that this was actually a profession and you could make your living drawing and painting.. ( stupid .. i know!)

Anyway, soon I found out that I could draw all day without getting bored or frustrated.
Drawing at work never made my days go by so fast!

After a 9 months of drawing at work I decided to quit my job to fully focus on trying to make this drawing and painting thing work out.
About a year later I started freelancing officially and I landed my first few jobs.

Now we are about 8 years further since the day I quit my job and I think I made it work! ;)

I worked on all sort of cool projects like boardgames, miniatures, videogames, short films, advertising and commercials.
Made a few and still work on a few indiegames and been a character designer for Pathfinder for a few years as well as did some world of warcraft cards.

About a year ago I started recording some of my work to make youtube videos out of them.
I figured it might be fun for people to watch and helpful for those who want to improve their drawing skills.
I'm now also in the process of releasing them here on Steemit/Dtube so be sure to check those out if you have the time!
