My first post I thought I'd get about 30 or 40 likes, which usually happens on Facebook.
My second post, a nietzsche phrase in * Paint * and ready, now would give a 100 likes.
And so it went, posting anything, until in this post copied in full from the internet, @wagnertamanaha warned me "here we do not use the CTRL + C and CTRL + V.

It took time to understand, it was even frustrating to find out, but here is very different from Facebook, here anything does not make the slightest sense, you need to think before posting.
How different, much more challenging and stimulating. Facebook was losing its meaning, it was getting hard to believe and even hard to accept that a self in the bathroom received 100 likes. Today I no longer have Facebbok, sorry Mark Zuckerberg, but you can not swallow, let alone the publicity rain that your website pushes. It was difficult, yes, I was administrator of a page of Nietzsche with 80,000 likes.
The initial goal of earning about $ 800 per month no longer exists. I do not even know if I'll win in a year.

If you are going to win Upvotes, forget the like, or will not win anything is very relative. You can dedicate two hours writing a post and not gain anything, but you can see a scene, have an idea and in 10 minutes write and earn a little.

Expectations and reality seldom matches in real life most of the time we have to lower our expectations so that we will not be disappointed. Yes i know it is really difficult at first but that is part of the journey. A journey to your greatness. Keep on believing my friend and keep on dreaming don't lose hope. Steemit is build upon a community that helps each other and uplift each other. Don't give up and fight on. Just be yourself and just do what you love to do. You will find your niche. Also depends on what people likes to vote. i simply coded some web register template just fot steemit which means original content but nobody care about that, later i just shared some jokes but people like it. As you said in your post there isnt any formula can gather the votes but interests.
