The Introduction: Newly Married and a Lover of Liberty

Do you remember walking outside as a kid, taking a deep breath of that warm evening summer air, and looking up into that seemingly infinite expanse of stars in the night sky? Maybe you felt small. Maybe you felt in awe. Whatever you felt, you knew that there was something more out there -- that you were a part of something greater. 

And you know what? You were right.

I'm just a young guy who grew up with a loving family in a small Kansas town. And I too remember staring up at the night sky for countless hours, feeding off of an unquenchable sensation that life is more than my mere existence. But that I am a part of an epic tapestry of life, woven by invisible hands, and weaved with strands of the passions and choices we all make.  I understood this from an early age and I wanted to live a life aimed at helping others understand each other and their role in this tapestry. 

I could've started this post with  a simple "hello" or even a "I"m 25 years old and I love ice cream..." But what I've come to understand in life is that we as human beings crave for deeper intellectual, emotional, and spiritual connections. We don't really care about your favorite color. But what we really care about is what is your 'why'.

Hi, my name is Ben. And I strive to build bridges of understanding. Love and liberty is essential in this life for happiness -- and luckily, I found both. I am now happily married to the most beautiful Russian bride, I write to help Americans understand the Eastern European/Russian people and vice-versa, and I advocate for personal liberty from a forceful state.
