Hello steem! In this post I will tell you a bit about myself and my plans here on steem. So let's go!

I'm a 29 year old German mathematician, currently living in Magdeburg. I love playing games, solving problems and theorizing around. Also puns, puns are cool. I'm currently visiting @stinawog and @improv (see picture).
Which brings me to...

My steem parents: @mariannewest, @improv and @stinawog. Thanks again for the hearty welcome <3.

As I'm more of a lurker than a writer I won't post with high regularity. Nevertheless I still have plans for some topics I'd love to write about and discuss with some of you, including but not limited to:

  • steemmonsters
  • steem games in general (this will require some research on my behalf though)
  • collections of content I enjoy (not limited to steem)
  • posts about my home city magdeburg
  • posts about my onewheel #floatlife

I also plan to get some amount of steem and powering it up as soon as I'm back to germany.

Let me know if you have pointers for a steem newbie like myself!

Bis bald

Welcome to steem @bergelmirsenpai you seem like an interesting person.

That's cool! I'm similar. I enjoy games, theorizing and puns as well! I just thoroughly enjoy language in general.. It sure is a fascinating subject!

As I'm more of a lurker than a writer I won't post with high regularity. Nevertheless I still have plans for some topics I'd love to write about and discuss with some of you, including but not limited to:

I see.. Those are some interesting subjects you listed as well, if you wanna do research on steem games you may want to check out one that I help host called the @ifc or Information Finding Championship. It's sorta like the UFC except instead of people fighting physically they battle mentally to solve problems and bring back information on certain subjects. I've heard from quite a few of the players that they really enjoy it and have a lot of fun! I'll put a link below to our most recent found if you wanna check it out and please feel free to ask any questions, I'll do my best to answer.

https://steemit.com/contest/@ifc/ifc-season-2-round-5-choose-your-own-adventure

In general if I was to give advice I would say to try to join communities like @steemitbloggers and our @ifc community as I already mentioned as they are both full of very supportive people who will help you on your journey. And also to socialize and go around leaving comments and talking to people and maybe check the #introduceyourself tag as well to find other new people to try to become friends with.
It'll be harder to grow if you don't post very often, though if you post good content I'm sure you'll get some loyal followers in time! :)

Good luck on here and if you have any questions about steem or anything else I'll do my best to answer and if I can't answer I can probably find someone who can. Cheers and I hope you do well!

Welcome to Steem. One idea: Pick a topic and write about more often than you said. Magdeburg will work - with good photos you have taken. Posting is the way to build a position.

Hi and welcome here! When I started on steemit, my biggest problem was to find interesting people to interact with. So, to help newcomers getting started I created a directory with other interesting and or talented steemians to follow or interact with. Feel free to check it out at https://www.steemiandir.com I am sure it will help you find like-minded people. Enjoy your stay here and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

Awesome. Very cool. Love the smile.

Welcome to Steemit! Cheers from Buffalo NY.

Welcome to Steem.

My personal experience found that it is extremely difficult to get recognition from blogging alone. I was making most of my income from making comments on the posts of others.

Unfortunately, I can no longer spend all day reading and writing on the Steem platform, so I put most of my effort into running my games here on Steem and playing Darklands (@darklands, also on Steem). Those 2 games take up as much of my time I can afford to give to Steem.

So, as far as tips to a non-blogger go: Just comment on the posts of those who support their blog visitors and play games that vote for their participants. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to earn Steem while having fun at the same time.
