Crypto Newbie

Hi my name is Trevor Wilson/37/Brighton, UK. Before Christmas I became interested in cryptocurrency/blockchain (a bit late to the party I know) being a statistical programmer these things really interest me. So what have I done so far? Well I started by buying some ETH using the coinbase exchange and then set up a wallet on MyEtherWallet and transferred the funds to there. I then read a couple of books:

CRYPTOCURRENCY: The Complete Basics Guide For Beginners: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Altcoins, Trading and Investing, Mining, Secure and Storing, ICO and Future of Blockchain and Сryptocurrencies by Michael Horsley

Blockchain: Ultimate guide to understanding blockchain, bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, smart contracts and the future of money by Mark Gates

both of which I can recommend if your new to the scene.

I then started listening to some podcasts my favourite being Unchained with Forbes Laura Shin. She is very knowledgeable on crypto and asks great questions to her quite significant guests. The other one I like is The Crypto Street Podcast.

I am also interested in the ICO's TON, KIN and WePower. To keep up to date with what is going on with these I downloaded the Kik and Telegram apps.

Beyond that I have opened an IG account with thoughts of spreadbetting in cryto as I was thinking this may be more tax efficient however with such volatile markets lately this maybe a bit risky. I'd love to know what other people think?
