Hello Steemit :)  My name is Blaise Pascual. I was born at the same hospital as Barack Obama in Kenya Honolulu, Hawaii. 

I'm a senior at the University of Washington studying Microbiology. I will be graduating at the end of next week. My senior thesis is titled "The Implications of Genetic Mutagenesis and Human Health". 

I should honestly be working on that instead of writing this post...

Science

I work in a pathology research lab studying the biology of aging tackling diseases, like Alzheimer's and Cancer, with an upstream approach. I gave a talk on my research last week at a research symposium. My lab's work has been featured on the Today Show! 

I LOVE science.

USMC

I graduated from the Marine Corp's 10 week Officer Candidate School program last summer. It was the toughest challenge I've faced in my life thus far. I am scheduled to commission on the 4th of July! I have an aviation contract and I hope to fly on the Prop airframe. 

EDM PLUR

At the beginning of this year I started up an EDM lifestyle brand, edmplur.com. I'm a HUGE fan of EDM and raves! I DJ'd several parties in college and I've even produced a few electronic tracks on my soundcloud. I decided to turn my love for EDM into a side venture and I'm currently focusing on building up a social media following before trying to generate more products.

Steemit is AMAZING

I'm EXTREMELY excited to be apart of the steemit community.  My long term goals are to become an astronaut, a succesful biotech entrepreneur, a mainstage EDM DJ, to live a financially comfortable life, and to document the entire process to serve as a blueprint for others on social media platforms like this! My biggest role models are Sherlock Holmes and Iron Man :)

The first thing I'm going to do after I graduate is continue learning how to code. I'm currently working with Angular 4 and Javascript and I want to learn Solidity then Ionic 2 afterwards! I want to eventually make decentralized applications!

To conclude, I'm REALLY excited to be apart of this community! I'd love to offer as much value as I can to the community and I'm happy to connect and network with all of you!
