My name is Ishola Boluwatife,
I'm from Nigeria. I am a student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso which was located Oyo state and I am majoring in Engineering.
I'm currently in my first year due to striking lecturers that hinder the continuation of academics activities over non-payment of salaries and arrears which pull everyone chasing his or her dreams to be successful.
HOW I GOT TO KNOW STEEMIT
I got to know about steemit.com on my WhatsApp account, two major intellectuals ( @honourmaus and @harbysco ) put up brains together in helping everyone (affected student) to be part of this initiative, learn from others across the globe.
At first, I got annoyed for finding myself in the midst of people around me but don't know what the group was all about, but I controlled myself by observing what's going on, after some introduction was made by the admins ( @honourmaus and @harbysco) that the community was all about impacting and adding value to live and it's learning rewarding community that was filled with Veterans of steemians that are intellectuals and ready to help the upcoming young ones around the globe. And other things steemit.com was all about I popped up to be among those that will be available for this initiative.
SOME THINGS I LIKE
I do like to write, listening to music, reading books ( I have a favorite one which is THINK BIG by Ben Carson).
I love learning new things that will inspire me and boost my thinking about life and living.
I love to watch movies I have my favorite which was 3idiots from Aamir Khan it really had an impact on my life, most of all I'm a poetry addict.
MY VIEW ABOUT LIFE
Life is so beautiful and it's where to discover your purpose and fulfill it by inspiring others and help them out to be successful along the way either positive or negative.
I'm in the process of discovering new things, impacting Young Minds by promoting and delivering effective communication, personal development, leadership, debate and public speaking.
WHY I JOINED STEEMIT
I'm personally very excited about this initiative cos I was opportune to be one of the newbies that participate in AWAWED project for newbies by @redfishpillar and all my questions were answered to by @surpassinggoogle because I'm a type that likes to know more about where I belong before proceeding about what I wanted from and give to the community.
I don't have the time to get bored, but I still have time to write, inspire, impact and help in any of my doing by doing what I'm best at.
I will love to have conversations with different people from different countries.
I do like this initiative, this platform is rich with very interesting, intellectual people and I will love to hear more from you.
May our passions and energies gather to make great things happen.

What's up mate! G'day from Australia! Glad you found Steemit. If I could offer any advice for a new Steemian is focus on creating good content and commenting on each other so all the REAL people grow and the spammers and desperate people get left behind. I'm from Australia so it's really refreshing to be able to see how others live outside my local Facebook "bubble". It does take a while to grow so forget trying to grow too fast and just focus on enjoying Steemit content as well as creating your own interesting posts.
I generally post about my art, cars, health, and lifestyle as well as really enjoying commenting on other people's creations and seeing how people live across the world. This place really is different to other social media where the people who help each other will grow and it's not just about selfies and cat photos hahaha :)
