Hindsight is Everything

Hello Everyone,
I borked up big time. I was given the gift of hindsight but didn't understand what I was seeing at the time. Back in 2009, I had heard about this weird concept for currency call Bitcoin. Two friends of mine told me I should put money into it and also start mining it but I had recently bought a duplex and didn't want spend any more money. One even said that in 10 years, bitcoin was going to be worth $100s of dollars. Not completely understanding the concept, I wasn't interested. Don't get me wrong, a duplex was a good investment but if I had instead put that money into bitcoin I would now be retired at 31.
Life continued on and hadn't paid attention to bitcoin in a long time. Then I recently went to a conference and they had a keynote speaker on ethereum, it was around $90 at the time. Remembering what I had heard about in 2009, I did research and saw everything that I had missed. Even finding out that my friends guess was way off but in ia good way. Since then I have been mining and researching all the new opportunities that bit and alt coins have to offer. I also try to invest a little each month. Then I found Steemit and thought it was a fascinating concept for an alt coin. I am a bit of an introvert and don't usually contribute to different online sites but as crypto currencies are becoming a passion of mine, I think Steemit might be a good vehicle to express myself.
