Hi Steemit! My name is Bruno Julius. Just to break the ice, my account was approved from a while now, but the sense of delivering perfect content blocked me from releasing the first glimpse of this article a couple weeks ago, and guess what it’s never going to be perfect (Just do it). And through my involvement in the plat-form, you should expect to see a combination of articles and videos related to tech, cryptocurrency , entrepreneurship and also some comedy skits. And without further ado, please enjoy my first article
Is AR really changing everything?
AR technology is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environ-ment whose elements are "augmented" by computer-generated perceptual informa-tion, ideally across multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic and somatosensory.AR technology is already a reality, but it will continue affecting us over the next several years as we enter the era of the internet of things. You may be wondering how AR can impact your life if you don’t work for NASA or the military, or aren’t involved in any form of research. Perhaps you think that it will only impact your experiences in the movie theatre or the amusement park. Howev-er, AR is coming, and it is just a matter of time until it replaces the smart phone.
AR is being tested in the workplace. Just imagine how you can be seated in an empty boardroom, and other members of the team can sign in with their holograph-ic images taking up the other seats. This is much like Skype, but instead of seeing your colleagues in little picture boxes, you can see them in your actual room, much like in science fiction films. Companies can participate in all sorts of conferences, without paying for costly airline tickets or hotels.
You’ll be able to brainstorm with your team and have discussions. To work the system, you’ll be able to use a touch screen tablet, and write on a digital white-board. You can have a shared online design space. You can use an app to provide the controls for your conferences.
You may even be able to have awareness off-site, where and how things will fit in at home prior to making a purchase. Hence, changing a buyer’s behavior, people with will be buying with more confidence and assurance.
AR will also change how historians tell stories, history will come alive. AR will really revolutionize our learning process, of course I am not arguing that the chronology of things presented on it will be 100% correct, no. This is because the vi-sions and images programmed will be based on the existing finding. In other words it will be a revolution in how history will be told.
While AR technology is new and exciting, there can also be concerns about how it will affect us. This may be the start where people with fail to differentiate between what is real and what is not, and also important to understand the risk that WE WILL BECOME THE INTERNET.
To be continued...
