Hello Steemit! This is my introduction as Bryan Divisions, a guy who loves rapping, producing, and making people feel good :)

Hey guys!!

I'm Bryan, and I'm excited to be a part of this community and for the opportunity to introduce myself.

My highest passion in this life is music! I am a rapper and producer who creates emotional and vibey music while writing lyrics expressed from my heart.

The focus of my music is to connect people of all different backgrounds and belief systems to the truths that we are all one, we all have unique gifts to offer this world, and that we all are deserving of unconditional love.

So how'd I get to this point?

I was born in Washington DC, and grew up in Maryland. At age ten I began falling in love with music after connecting with songs that made me feel like I wasn't so out of place.

As a mixed individual, I don't fall into the normal categories of race, and as a child I struggled with this. My father is mixed with African, European, and Native American, and my mother has a varied European background. Growing up, I noticed I didn't fit in as white or black, nor was I bi-racial, as I had a lot of variety in my genes.

As a young adult, I started seeing my uniqueness as an asset instead of a problem, and began lots of self actualization and realization work, discovering my beliefs and focusing on how to become more aligned with my true core identity.

I soon began noticing that I was able to connect with people from all different backgrounds and worldviews by connecting with the energy of their hearts. Although someone may look and think different from me, I realized that we are actually 99.99% the same. We all have way more in common than we may see visually, which sparked my passion to connect all types of people with each other, as well as with the deeper aspects of themselves.

In 2013, I began writing my book, 'Become Yourself - A Guidebook to Discovering Your Higher Self', a workbook which takes you on a journey of understanding your true beliefs about health, money, family, friends, relationships, purpose, self and God. In 2016, I self published the book and made a dream of mine a reality.

In 2014, I released my first song as Bryan Divisions, 'Stars', which expresses 'we are all one and complete, just stars, stars with a heartbeat', and in 2015 released my first album, 'Shivai'. This 8 song album is a journey of overcoming fear and doubt, embracing your full potential, living life with purpose, and expressing unconditional love.

Since then, I've released 5 music videos from the album, been performing live, and have met some amazing and beautiful souls.

I'm 29 now, but it took me about 24 of those years to really mature my emotional intelligence and begin understanding who I was beneath the ideas and personality traits my ego identified with. I wouldn't trade those difficult and awkward years for anything, as the experiences I've gained have allowed me to connect with others with honesty and openness.

And now here I am, on Steemit, connecting with all of you! I'm excited for this opportunity to be a part of such a creative community, and look forward to sharing our art and points of view with each other!
