I'm Christopher Cantwell, and this is my Radical Agenda

in introduceyourself •  8 years ago  (edited)

I suppose this is long overdue. I've heard of steemit for some time, but it didn't sound like something that would be sustainable. Since then you've all been having all this fun and I've been getting banned from Twitter. Shows what I know, right?

But let's talk more about me, this is an introduction after all. As I said in the title, my name is Christopher Cantwell. I live in Keene, New Hampshire and I am the host of a podcast and YouTube show called Radical Agenda. I also write from time to time at ChristopherCantwell.com.

Yes, I do this professionally. It is how I pay my bills. I monetize the production through a combination of merchandise sales, donations, affiliate, and display advertising. I'm not getting wealthy at it, but I manage to have a respectable apartment and vehicle and clothes and whatnot and I haven't even been at it all that long. Less than 300 episodes at the time of this writing. I guess what I'm saying is, pay me.

The show is political in nature to some degree, and one might describe me as a right wing anarcho-capitalist, who would prefer a fascistic or monarchic State to the hyperinclusive mass democracy that is destroying everything worthy of admiration today. We went all in on Donald Trump for the presidential election, and I think elections do matter, but I genuinely want to see the State done away with in its entirety.

I do not however condone the irresponsible policy advocacy of most anarchists. So long as states exist, they have obligations and if those obligations are met by neither State nor market, then that civilization fails. For better or worse, states hold civilizations hostage. Failed states result in failed civilizations and failed civilizations do not typically result in harmonious market exchanges until the end of time, as some advocates of the communist Cloward & Piven strategy seem to suggest with their immigration advocacy, for example. Drugs would be another. While the war on drugs is obviously terribly misguided policy with catastrophic impacts on a civilization, that is only because it must prevent the greater danger of a drug addicted populace overwhelming the social safety nets. It is not because dangerous intoxicants bless us with superior wisdom, or marijuana cures terminal illnesses.

Civilizations, or nations, if you prefer, form around a number of factors. Geography is usually the most obvious. Sharing a system of government is a common trait but I think it not unheard of throughout history for a single nation to be ruled by two or more separate governing bodies. Over time the two may grow apart into separate nations however, as a result of the policies of their respective governments. People evolve, perhaps more rapidly than most of us tend to think. Incentives in a society and their Darwinian impact literally decide who lives, and who dies, even if not with pinpoint accuracy. Different groups of people obtain different levels of achievement based on a great many genetic factors hard coded into us after thousands of years of evolution brought on by selective pressures, and economic incentives decide what those selective pressures are today, and hence what type of people will be here in a generation. So allowing your nation to be overrun with military age males from a foreign ethnic background and culture for example, is pretty much the death of a nation. If one people can grow apart in a generation over economic policy, what becomes of them when they are flooded with people who have obtained lower levels of achievement and have no adaptation to their environment but are subsidized by the labor of those who do? It is societal suicide.

You might say I'm right of center.

That is not to say I think right wing movements are without their problems. I just despise leftists with an intensity that would be difficult to illustrate with all the utensils of a medieval dungeon. The sound of rotary aircraft whirring in the distance makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

I don't mind the label of racist anymore. If asked if I was a racist, I would probably say yes. I do however take some issue with the very misguided notion that this somehow means I hate individuals strictly on the basis of skin color. That would be ridiculous and by the way it wouldn't even handle that whole Jewish problem. I guess what I mean to say is, I don't think it is at all unreasonable for me to be pretty happy about being a white guy, and all these people telling me that my racial existence is some kind of a plague on humanity that I need to assist in eliminating sound like people worthy of my utmost contempt.

So they have it.

Market anarchists who think feminism, Islam, promiscuity, drug use, and black power is going to bring us to a libertarian utopia are not misguided. They are in fact a disease that threatens the very fabric of everything that makes market activity possible. If they were simply misguided, then explaining the problem with communists and theocratic savages flooding a democratic state would correct their error in no time. Instead, they pretend that this influx of human garbage piling on the welfare state is going to collapse it and lead gang members and jihadists to the Rothbardian future they perceive as inevitable. Meanwhile, it will result in the elimination of the only demographic that libertarians can be said to be dominated by, white males, and with it the erasure of libertarianism from the texts that are left behind. It won't just fail, it will result in the extinction of the idea.

My favorite writers are Murray Rothbard and Hans Hermann Hoppe. My favorite podcasters are Stefan Molyneux and Tom Woods. I'm a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. I exercise frequently. I'm an atheist but I don't really want to be. I'm single by choice, many choices actually, I guess what I mean is that I am single as the result of many bad choices. If you stick around long enough, you may hear some self deprecating humor.

since i am new to this community, i will restrain myself (for now) from going point by point through your post and explain why your arguments are laughable at worst and unreasonable at best. but how about this. you are a anarcho-fascist, i am an anarcho-socialist (ricardo flores magon is my foundation and i build off from there), how about we engage one another from time to time. we both want the revolution, but in radically different ways. i believe that one of our ways will prevail. we won't see eye to eye, we will be enemies, but that is okay. your analysis of the state is pretty good though. saludos.
