Hi, Steemit! I am lael this is the story of my journey to Success

Hello steem.. ! I am Abear, Merwyn Lael 27 years old married living in Cebu Philippines. My friends call me Lael it’s my nickname and Cathvan is my Code name in social media. I am a Registered Mechanical Engineer and I am very proud of it, because it’s a fruit of all my hard works and dedication to be an independent person that could stand on my own feet. Before I become a registered mechanical engineer; I’ve been through a lot of challenges because of my family problem. I am illegitimate child. I grew up with my mother. She’s workaholic and doesn’t have enough time for me because she needs to work hard to provide all my needs or should I say our needs. I understand her and felt pity for her. Sometimes if she had enough time she makes things up with me to make me feel that she’s always there even she’s not around. My aunt takes good care of me while my mother was not around. She’s my second mother and I’m very thankful to have aunt like her. But everything has changed when my mother decided to get married. At first everything’s went well until one day, my mother has changed. She’s very demanding and conservative. She always ignored me and won’t listen to me every time I talked to her and I don’t even know why she acted like that if she’s with her husband. My stepdad and I won’t have harmonious relationship since then. I don’t know why he hated me that much. Is it because I’m not his biological son? Ever since he got married with my mother he always got mad at me. As I remembered I didn’t do anything stupid in fact I am a member of youth organization. Sometimes I came home late at night because we have had our practice at church because there were coming activities that time. When I went home my stepfather said that I always came home late because I started to use drug ‘’which is not true’’. Since my mother got married my life has changed.

I took up Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering of one of the prestigious university of Cebu; Philippines. During my college days after my class, I always got drunk with my classmates. I lost hope and felt hopeless that time because of my problem. All I want is a happy family. A family who always there to support and makes me feel that I am important to them. Is it really difficult? Why? Did I make their life miserable?

I convinced myself to be strong and ignore them the way they ignored me and focus my studies instead. Hoping that someday when I finished my college and become professional they would change.

I finished my college and become registered mechanical engineer. And as what I have been said I’m very much proud of myself because despite of all problems that I’ve been through I surpassed all of it and that’s because of my faith of our almighty God, encouragement with my ex-girlfriend and now my wife and of course my mother because of her support financially. Though she may not be a perfect mother but she’s still the best mother for me.

My current job is teaching engineering course subjects of one of the prestigious university school here in Cebu; Philippines. I shared my experience to my students for them to get motivated to finish their studies despite of all challenges, problems that come on their way. God gave us problem to make us strong enough to live to the fullest because it only happens once and it depends on us on how to handle it. As God said ‘’Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. God never leave us he’s always on our side. If we have faith in him everything will be fine because with God, nothing is impossible.

Within 3 years of teaching, I decided to study another degree in college I took up Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering of the same university that I had been studied. After my work I attended my class in marine engineering. And luckily, I graduated marine engineering course. Though I haven’t taken my apprentice yet it’s ok because the learning that I have on it can never take away or fade. And it helps me to become effective instructor to my marine engineering students.

Aside from my degrees I am also NCII holder of SMAW (Shielded Meta Arc Welding). And currently studying my master’s degree in Master of Science in Industrial Technology (MSIT) of one of the prestigious university in Cebu. Hopefully I can make it to the top.

How and when did I discovers steemit?

I had been part of this platform last December 2017 until now; I love to read blogs/articles, inspirational stories , love to travel together with my wife and I loved to play online games like DOTA2. One day, while I’m reading some blogs on my computer my friend introduced me a blog that he likes most and he called it steemit. I asked him some question about this platform and after his discussion I amazed because in this platform I can do extra income by sharing idealistic insight and posting blogs in order to get more up votes and followers. For me steemit is a tool to improve my English grammar because I’m not really good in it and challenge my capability to become a good writer as well.
