Yes bloodroot is poisonous. It is an eschar. If taken internally in large quantities it can be deadly, but if taken in minute quantities it can be very beneficial to someone with cancer as the bloodroot in minute quantities will kill only the weaker, mutated cells (cancer cells) BUT it is so effective that you need cleansers (slippery elm bark, turkey rhubarb, sheep soral...) to rid the body of the dead cancer cells before they begin to decay to prevent blood toxicity. Do your research into an American Indian remedy called Essiac tea. the original formula and not what you get over the counter. The "Race For the Cure" is nothing of the sort. It is a race FROM a cure because there are several "cures" for cancer, they are simply not promoted by the medical community nor the pharmaceutical industrial complex because there is no money to be made in natural remedies.
