I'm a Wannabe Thought Leader

Hi, I'm a wannabe thought leader.

Weird statement? I've finally realized the directions I want my life to take, and this is my first step. So, thank you for starting this journey with me.

Over the last 5 years, I've gone through some major mindset transformations, fluctuations, decision see-saws, and rocky roads.

I've spent time with America's popular rappers and musicians, extremely respected entrepreneurs, futurists, social media stars, and athletes. I've gotten to know the cultural habits of nearly every ethnic group in the United States, and I've loved learning about each community. But as I hung out with each of these groups, the question would constantly come up in my head - "Am I doing the most good I can do here?"

I learned that as I began answering “no,” more and more, the bad influencers began to slink away from my life. It was like purging for ambition and kindness.

I purged each of my life states - from depressed, to alcohol-addicted, to athlete, to entrepreneurial mind, to energy optimizer. Within it all, I heard of three important topics: financial freedom, effective altruism, and conscious/subconscious personal development.

For a soul-enriching and fulfilling life, these three are what I think each person can progress life with, and therefore accelerate passion projects, careers, and relationships successfully. The depth of your connection with other people can only go as deep as you know yourself.

Let me explain these three topics - firstly, financial freedom. At its core, it's the freedom to magnify your talents with expanded capital.

Second on my list is effective altruism. This is the idea of doing the most good you can. By giving resources to the most effective groups of people, your 20 dollar donation can go much further than 100 dollars given to a nonprofit that gives less than that to the actual cause. I recently found out about this group and they're the most conscious, optimizing group of people I have ever met. They have strangely figured out how to change the world most effectively.

Lastly, personal development. It's vital to understanding one’s stage in professional life, relationships, and income. Think of it this way - “A person making $30,000 a year is not thinking the same way that a person making $200,000 a year is.” This all has to do with the conscious control that all humans have, to control their subconscious behavior. This behavior consists of habits, driven by beliefs that have been formed by environment and decision.

These three areas of my life have truly impacted the way I interact with people and the way in which I choose the people to spend time with. They're super interesting topics that most people don't spend the time to delve into - or aren't even aware of! I hope that by reading about me, you've also learned about yourself.

The last train that I usually hit people with is that I'm 18. It's funny to see reactions, as people either downgrade my results or tell me they'll help me with anything I ever need. Growing tough skin to handle these strange sort of objections has been a hard ride. But, I'm learning that I need to be more proud about myself than upset I'm doing more than the average 18-year-old.

Anyways, thanks for letting me introduce myself Steemit! It's so exciting to be apart of the community.

I'll be doing more posts on these three topics, so if you're interested in changing your life the way I have, then watch out for those!
