Hello good people, I'm cryptodan #introduceyourselfsteemCreated with Sketch.

Hello Steemians!

I joined Steemit about a week ago, so I think it’s about time I introduce myself.
I’m cryptodan, and yeah I know it’s a somewhat generic username. It was the best I could come up with when creating my user account. Well it’s too late to change it now, so I guess I will stick to it. :D

I am studying law, and will get my master’s degree next month. It has taken five long years of my life to finish my studies, and now I have to figure out what my next step in life will be. So I see myself standing at a crossroad in life.

This is how many books I had to read during the 5 years.

I am going to a job interview on Tuesday, which I’m thankful for. However, I do not think I would take the JOB (Just Over Broke) if I actually had the financial freedom to do something else with my life.

If I had the financial freedom, I would travel the world to see countries like Tibet, India and China. So I figured that what I need to do is to work smarter not harder. Since I am already interested in investing and finance and have some knowledge of it, I have decided that I will create my financial freedom through investing.

Me with some of my crazy friends.

A couple of months ago a good friend of mine introduced me to Bitcoin. My interest quickly turned to altcoins and somehow I learned about Steemit. It is safe to say that I quickly saw the potential, and I have been a Steemit addict since the first day I signed up. Although I am not a tech savvy guy, I learn quickly and really appreciate the abundant sharing of knowledge on Steemit.

I would like to help this community grow and become all it can become. At the same time, I would like to create a strong network with you guys. I have read somewhere that the Steemit Chat is a good place to start, so I will definitely head over there and start up some chats. I am also planning to promote my Stemmit posts on reddit. Thanks for the tip @ausbitbank.
Also a big shout out to all the Steemians who create content that helps us new ones, it is really appreciated!

I plan to post 2-3 times a week initially. Since I have a lot on my heart and I have a lot of different interest, I will be posting about different topics. The main topics will be about (but not limited to) cryptocurrencies, new technologies and philosophy and some of the things I experience in my daily life.

If you are interested, you are welcome to follow me at @cryptodan

You are very similar to the Russian musician Alexei Kortnev ( https://goo.gl/LYY9ky ). Maybe you write songs and sing from? )))

Hey @ira.russia, and thank you for the comment. That's quite funny I do see the resemblance :)
I don't compose any music, but I have played some guitar and trumpet a few years back. I never got any good at it however :D

Good luck and welcome, Cryptodan. There is an awesome community here. I hope you'll get a chance to travel to Asia. Thailand is awesome, BTW :-)

Thank you, and I like the tip about Thailand. I will consider going there.
Did you go there, and what is your favorite thing about Thailand?

Hi Cryptodan... favorite thing about Thailand is there is much more freedom here than in the west. The food is awesome as well. Thailand really is a special place.

Sounds good, freedom and awesome food. What's not to like :)
Thanks for the reply :)

Welcome to steemit @cryptodan

Thank you @nrajesh.

haha dan the crypto man (Y) has a nice ring to it.

one of my close mates currently studies law in oxford university kinda wish i could get him into cyrpto though.

welcome to the scene and have a great time mate :)

Thank you @lexicon
Haha, you are right it does sound catchy. Maybe I will use it from now on as my alias :D
I visited Oxford University once, it was truly amazing. I would like to have studied there.
I think it would be a good idea to have your friend get into crypto currencies. Somethings just takes time and i am sure he will get into it at some point when he is ready.

haha yeah im sure he will. hes known for creating horror costumes and gory outfits as well as being a super brainy law student. he probably hasnt got enough time on his hands as of yet but will get him on here eventually :D

Nice introduction! Good luck with law school and have fun on Steemit :)

Thank you @ananuaremere.
Having fun and being on Steemit, it sounds like a good advice. I will do my best :)

Welcome friend. Hope to see you on the road when you achieve that financial freedom you seek :)

Thank you @samstonehill, I really appreciate it.
I certainly will do my best to get there, and who knows we might meet along the way. By the way, big thanks for the helpful links you posted on FB :)

Hi @cryptodan, welcome to Steemit. That is a lot of books you have stacked up- have you considered a book shelf? Good luck with your studies. Come check out the #art tag too!

Thank you @opheliafu.
Well I had them all in a bookcase, but I wanted to see how high they would stack before selling them. I no longer have any use for them, and they loose economic value just sitting in the bookcase. Thanks for the hint, I will definitely check out the art tag.

I was curious if they were taller than you- they look pretty high. I'm going to start measuring my height in books (hard backs only-for accuracy purposes).

Haha I like your way of thinking, it ought to be a universal accepted way of measuring peoples height :D
I'm about 6 feet and the stack was a couple of inches higher than me. That's hardbacks and paperbacks, so it's not the accepted way of measuring - sorry :)

Gosh no, that's not a standard book height measurement if you are mixing paperback and hardbacks, but as you are new to Steemit I'll let it pass.

That's most generous of you.

Hallo Cyrptodan!
