Hello world! My name is Damarys, and this is my first Steemit post.
Not long ago my friend Joe gave me an Introduction to bitcoin mentioning Steemit as the future of social media. So here I am, full of wonder and ready discover what you as a community have created as well as my place within it.
A bit about me:
I'm an empathetic, creative and driven Puertorican with a spicy, dry and sarcastic sense of humor and a love for Sci-fi and fantasy. A wilder of limitless imagination, taught myself English using google and would love to work with a creative team at some point. I love music, acting, dancing, writing, brainstorming (anything creative ) and I'm fascinated by people's life stories and the endurance of the human soul.
I've spend most of my life listening and observing, paying attention to the details. I love people, puzzles and riddles. Crave deep connections, over analyze everything and I'm always amazed by the power of the human mind.
My first dream as a child was to be a star shinning up in the sky ( Neil Degrasse Tyson made it happened when he said "We are not figuratively, but literally stardust.") Second Dream was to heal others with my hands for what I studied massage therapy and energy healing. Now I dream of becoming a successful business woman, I wish to help my family and my country and I'm giving it all I've got. My frustrated dream was to become a software Engineer (cry*).
I'm patient, honest, kind, passionate and caring. I seek balance, George Carlin is my favorite comedian, Tesla my favorite Scientist and Hope my favorite word. I dream of freedom, have a strong sense of responsibility, adore triangles, my heart skipped a beat the first time I saw a computer, favorite video game is Zelda and the number 69 always makes me giggle.

Don't give up your dream of becoming a software engineer if this is still something you'd like to do. There are plenty of resources available online that could help you a lot with that such as codeacademy, coursera, and stackoverflow (for Q/A).
