Hey Steemian's! I'm Damien, 34yo, crypto's enthusiast and globetrotter, let me give you an idea of how you can build your own Campervan

On the road again

Actually on a road trip all over the world, i crossed the USA during 4 months from March to July.
--First thing to do was to find a car and convert it as a campervan!

Not so easy to buy a car and insure it in USA if you are not a citizen and don't have an US adress...
I finally bought it in Vancouver, Canada, because it was easier to insure it there...

I choose an Honda Odyssey and after 4 months inside...i can tell you that... it was a really good choice!!

It is big enough to build a entire bed inside (mine was 185cm / 73inches) and you can build a kitchen too!!

So, i chose to keep the rear seat, in case of...( you never know!!)

and i made this part foldable, like this you can be seat inside if it's raining ☺ ==> very very comfortable, believe me!!

And that's why you also have to make a foldable matress!!
and don't be scrooge! choose a good foam quality☺

And, ok that's not an RV but as promised, you can be seat inside and even can cook and eat..! We did it and not only one time so don't doubt me ☺

Concerning the bed, everything is done right now so you can unfold the matress support

and have a good sleep in your sweet bed!!

The Kitchen

It's up to you but in my opinion, having a kitchen in your campervan is one of the best thing to have healthy meals and spare a lot of money during your road trip...

The kitchen i built was simple but very convenient, i put an electric cooler, a water pump with a sink, a gas cooker and everything that you need for 2 people.

(healthy breakfast, yeah i love coconut water...!)

Conclusion

It was not so easy to build it and i spent time trying to figure out how to make it the more convenient but believe me, during this 4 months, after 26000Km / 16200miles, we were very happy with it!!

Don't give up and if you liked my article and need more details and information about how to make it, don't hesitate to upvote and ask me, i will try to answer when i have time to ☺

Love it! I think its cool, ! Im thinking of doing the same when i move back to the country . I will be 1 hr from town where i work night shift as security guard, so am looking for something like this to sleep in during the day so i dont need to comute , save money and time on gas! Then go home on my days off! It looks like you covered the windows with cardboard? Nice way to keep it dark during daytime sleeping! And cooler as well! 😉👌✌

Thx!
Yeah it,s not the best "cozy" thing that you can do (but you can improve it for sure ...) but covering the windows with cardboard is very very usefull..! Like you said to keep it dark and cooler!!
On the cardboard you can stick a piece of sunvisor, like this it's looks better and it better protects you from the sun

really cool. I hope you enjoyed the obvious comfort?

honestly? it was...wait for it...perfect!! 😉

Hi love your van and life choice. I do something similar in a solar powered RV fulltime. Check me out! Followed you!

Hello, Thx! Solar poser is a really good thing !! Next Time i Will do an installation with solar panels! Follow you too :)

Love the idea...where is the sink?

Thx, you see the blue canteen of water? the sink was just over ( sorry we were doing something with it when i took this picture)
If you zoom above the blue canteen you will see the red faucet
and if you look at the last picture, on the right side just near coconut water you will see the white sink... i'll try to find another picture when i will have more time

Here you are! not the best picture ever but like this you can see the sink and the faucet...
