THE LEGEND IS BORN

There was a legend born on the 27 May 1999, named Daniel Luis De Gusmao Da Silva, which makes me now 17 years of age. I started attending Cyberschool - South Africa this year, 2017. I was born in Gauteng, South Africa, it has the best weather in the world, I am able to go and see wild animals and the big 5 (which is what South Africa is known for) at numerous game reserves. I live in a town named Bedfordview, and my home is in a boomed off area,which means that we have two entrances to our area with 24/7 security guards opening and closing the boom for residents and visitors. One of the main reasons for living under these conditions is that we feel security is very important as the crime rate in South Africa is high. I would never dream of leaving South Africa to move to any other country, as I love living in South Africa and all countries have their own problems or issues.

I am the youngest of two siblings and My brother Claudio, has been my hero since I can remember. I am of Portuguese descent, making me part of the 99% of the Portuguese population who eat, drink and sleep soccer or football as known in other countries. From a very young age, my life revolved around soccer, when my brother started playing soccer from the age of 4 years, I was still in my moms stomach and believe me, I could already hear and feel the power of the soccer vibe. When I was of age to start playing, I joined a football club at the age of 4 years and have never ever looked back in regret but in contrast I am looking forward to the future and it is all what I have lived for.

Growing up in my family household, there were soccer balls inside and outside the house, if my brother and I were not playing soccer outside in the yard, we would be kicking the ball in the corridor that led to our bedrooms, but with the constant house referee, yes, my mom screaming in the back ground to stop kicking the ball in the house. Further to that was us watching the soccer matches on television whether it was local soccer, English Premier League or UEFA Champions League or else we would be playing a game of Fifa soccer on play station or what is now the X-box (moving with technology). Changing channels to soapies, for my mom was just not an option - that television was to be set on the sports channel and there was no arguments or options, that television set belonged to the "da Silva men" my brother, my dad and myself. Three against one, no challenge, but my mom understood and supported my brother and I through our soccer dreams.

My parents always taught us that morals, standards and respect are one of the most important traits that a person can have, as that does not come naturally but comes with years of practice and is an ongoing process. Education is essential in life and cannot be left behind, as you will need it in the future to support your family, one of my favorite pass times is spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying a game of football, a movie night, playing pool, board games, a good evening with laughter, fun and lots of partying. Never forget our Creator and give thanks to Him on a regular basis, He is the reason why we live, breathe and become a success in life.

After all this have been reached, finally it is time to live your dream and this is where I am standing today. Ready for the next chapter in my life, dreaming big, working hard and confidently achieving the goals -the next Jose Mourinho will be Claudio da Silva, my brother and the next Ronaldo will be this legend who is the writer of this story.
