You can find my past research listed on Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=p5Bquh0AAAAJ&hl=en).

My main interests are in plant biology, particularly in the areas of plant physiology and biochemistry. I hope to contribute articles on various aspects of botany including: vegetables and herbs, plant metabolism, and the multitude of biochemicals produced by plants that influence human health and well being.

I also have a broad interest in science, the evolution of life on earth, and events in earth's history that have resulted in mass extinction events.

Welcome to Steemit Professor @davidrhodes124!
I will be looking forward to read your science posts about Plant Biology every time that I have free!

Thank you!

Welcome David !

Thank you!

Welcome to the platform, glad to see some experienced scientists coming on board. I think this platform is a great opportunity to have a positive impact when doing scientific outreach. While possibly earning some reward for it at the same time.

Thank you for your positive feedback. I am a bit of a novice at this, but hope to get up to speed soon. Best wishes.

I agree. I am one such experienced scientist. I am recently retired and I have many unpublished and unfinished projects. It would be great if my posts inspire a younger scientist to carry them forward!

Hey @davidrhodes124! I think you should check out #steemstem! It is a community for science-minded people and a lot of current and aspiring scientists write under this tag. You can also check out the steemstem chat room on discord. Someone like you who has research experience should be welcomed by the community. Have a good day! Cheers!

Thank you for this suggestion. I will try to get my feet wet with posts in steemit first, trying to reach a lay audience. If at all successful, I will definitely consider advancing to steemstem. I am a bit of a novice at this at the moment. But I greatly appreciate your input.

That is perfectly fine, I was in your shoes 2 months ago. If you don´t mind, I will still promote your content if I think it is "worthy" of steemstem or other meristocratic curation communities. There is no disadvantage to you, but your rewards may be higher. Cheers!

Thanks again. I'm still a minnow, learning how to swim in this new environment.

Welcome, I look forward to your future content. I don't think I've seen many botany articles around here. :)

Thank you for your positive feedback. Much appreciated!
