I am a retired Professor of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, Purdue University.

My main interests are in plant biology, particularly in the areas of plant physiology and biochemistry. I hope to contribute articles on various aspects of botany including: vegetables and herbs, plant metabolism, and the multitude of biochemicals produced by plants that influence human health and well being.
I also have a broad interest in science, the evolution of life on earth, and events in earth's history that have resulted in mass extinction events.

I agree. I am one such experienced scientist. I am recently retired and I have many unpublished and unfinished projects. It would be great if my posts inspire a younger scientist to carry them forward!
