My investment into a better life, for my daughter.

We decided to pack up and move from the UK (Birmingham) to Poland, why most people online ask, why Poland?
well my wife is Polish so native to here, and my daughter speaks English, Spanish and Polish, at 6 years old.

We did have a trip to Malta, Tenerife, and 6 months in southern Spain (Andalusia) with a view to moving to those places.

I started my working life, in Grand Prix Motorcycle racing, as head mechanic, Travelling around the Europe with borders still, the bike was a Suzuki rg 500 with a Spondon frame, yes I will spare you the details.

Most of my adult life has been spent in the automotive industry, in quality engineering departments, and I have owned 3 separate companies, all in this field of work, the last one I sold 4 years ago, when I decided to retire abroad, I am 51 years old.

I have watched my home city (Birmingham) turn into a violent supposedly multi cultural city, that is when I decided to get my daughter to somewhere safe, where she can roam fields, pick apples, learn to plant and grow food, too learn life skills, and so here we are.
The following picture is my daughter in our side garden/fields.

Allow me to take you for a stroll around some of the land, we have 3 forests, I have omitted to picture here, sorry.

This is the view from 1 side of the property.

I have 2 barns in total, 1 requiring a new roof this year, at the moment 1 is getting filled with old motorbikes that I love to collect.

Another view, this time one of our drives, that we left natural, instead of block paving.

We started off with one cat, though 3 strays moved here, so we now have 4 outdoor cats, though feed about 10 it seems,
& one of our neighbours brings his herd around in the summer, to help keep the grass down, and save me time from cutting grass.

My passion now is restoring motorbikes, and I have quite a large collection, some are now locked away in storage, and they will be my daughters , to do with what she wants at 21 years old.

Would you believe one of my favourite bikes to ride is this simple, 1982 air cooled Suzuki x4?

I keep a very untidy workshop or 3, sometimes you just have to have a bit of a messy unorganized space in your life.

I play the saxophone and guitar, and exercise daily, I love to listen to music, and like all kinds of different music, with the exception being most of the latest chart material, B B King is one of my heroes.

I do hope this explains a little about me and mine, we are very happy here, and hope you are happy where ever you are.
I have plans to build a house from wood this year, with my bare hands, to prove a point to me, that I really can do anything, after all, there are no limits.

Stay AWESOME!

Superb, thank you, I shall take a look, much appreciated.

You're moving to Poland and you also play saxophone ;)
I recently came back from the UK to Poland as well, the reason being... money. (most people will say - wth?) But in reality, which country gives you better possibilities, depends a lot on the conditions you wish to live in, and the job you're having. So it's never easy for me to answer people who ask me "so in which country is the life better?"

For a minimum-wager it must be UK (hence such a big number of immigrants is actually taking the lower paid jobs), but once you pass a certain level of your carrier and you might wish to live in a city center or on your own, calculations get complicated.
Those things cost a lot in the richer countries and barely any young person would be able to live on their own e.g. in London.

Agreed, I like it here very much though, Lublin is near by, Krakow and Zakopane are beautiful, I know it is tough here, for the younger people, I hope you find the opportunity you need now you are home, wishing you all the success in the world bastiano.
