My Purpose for Joining

It took a while but I finally began to realize my skill/understanding that a lot of people don't have, control of my finances. To me, it has always been a simple concept of how money comes in and out and keeping myself out of the 'danger zone' i.e. in uncontrollable debt, needing money for emergencies, 'last minute expenses', unable to do or get something I really want.

I've always viewed it as a function player. If I want to play this game, I need x amount of money, if I do not have x amount of money, guess what…. I will not play that game! I understand that things come up, it's not that simple, and all the other possible excuses that people may have. I decided to put myself out there, in the mix of people aiming to help others that want to help themselves! Controlling finances isn't so much about having money but more about being disciplined with money.

Quite simple, if you find yourself in the same financial position you were in last year, the year before, etc. chances are you haven't made any behavioral changes in your life. To take control of your finances, you must become aware of your spending habits and, get this…..PLAN!

I have come to realize that a lot of people do not adequately breakdown their income and expenses. Just a simple 15 minutes of planning can save you hundreds, thousands, or even millions of dollars (it all depends on where you are financially). The point is, whatever it will save you, will make a difference in your life. Like everything else in life, you get what you put in. The more you plan, the more you save!

In the past, I haven't seen my ability to save, control, and allocate money as a skill worth sharing, but the more I realize the amount of people who do not understand their own finances the way I understand mine, the more I realize how much impact I can make with what I already know.

Your finances do not have to be a scary topic, control of your finances is empowering. I hope the content that I provide will be empowering enough that you will make at least one change to better your life.
