Hey folks,

I am DiscusDiscus. I am not great at introductions so I will get with describing my hopes going forward...

I seem to be a voracious hoarder of hobbies. I am disabled (psychiatric) so I have lots of free time to experiment with various things to keep my own mind off of other darker thoughts that come with the territory of mental stuff and things. Elaboration won't come often or easy on my condition(s) until I decide that's a subject I'm willing to share with strangers.

My hobbies vary from music, of all sorts, from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Avett Brothers and everywhere in between. I have lots of technological related hobbies too, I built the computer I am typing this on, I built the server that runs the subsonic player and once I have some spare cash, I plan to move myself away from the iOS platform and over to Android once and for all. I would love to get into home automation but I just don't have the spare money right now to make the whole place into Stark Manor. Again, my hobby in this area is limited to my lower end budget after bills get paid, but I would love to expand into FLAC encoded files and more fancy audiophile gear.

I am getting back into the aquarium hobby, I used to keep Discus in my tanks about 15 years ago and after having to move to a plethora of places that didn't allow that much weight in one section of the floor...I have settled back in where I can have tanks again. I have a work in progress tank that is about 40 Gallons that I will leave as a freshwater community tank.

I have more hobbies than I am listing here, but the final one that's most time consuming...I help my friend with his hobby sized bee farm or apiary. I am not familiar enough with Steemit yet or how to really do much so that was probably a lot of word salad but I promise I'll figure this out. Maybe. Or something else shiny will come along.
