Hey Steemit friends, my name is Daniel. I am writing from New York, New York. I am an attorney by day vintage watch nerd by night.
I learned about this great community from a VC friend of mine who truly believes that Steemit has a great future ahead of it.
I am here to mainly post about a great passion of mine - vintage watches. There is something about vintage watches that is truly unique, and I think that after reading a few of my post, I will convert a few of you Apple Watch wearers to jump onto the vintage watch bandwagon.
One of my favorites the Omega Speedmaster 105.012 from 1966
Vintage watches can range from a couple of hundred dollars to millions of dollars. So, I will try and keep a good range in my posts from entry-level watches like the Universal Geneve Polerouter, which start at around $800 (depending on condition) --
to truly special timepieces like the Rolex Daytona Paul Newman (the one wore my Paul Newman himself), which is up for auction on October 26, 2017, at the Phillips Auction house in New York and is expected to sell for over 5 million dollars.
I have never been a big poster on any type of social media platform in the past; Steemit will be my first. I am also by no means a true vintage watch expert, so if any of you Steemers out there think I have made a mistake in one of my posts, please feel free to comment and let me know.
