My name is Dan Modugno and I decided to join the Steem Community as a way to give back to crypto because I am so thankful for everything crypto has done for me! Ok, let me backpedal here and tell you a little more about my background....So I started following and investing in Bitcoin in 2012. I don't recall exactly how I was introduced to the topic but do remember reading an interview of Tim Draper where he was discussing what he believed to be the "next big thing" since the internet. This was prior to the demise of the silk road and the auction for large amounts of BItcoin which ensued.

Fast forward to the unmasking of Ross Ulbricht as "Dread Pirate Roberts" at the end of a global effort by the NSA and associates in which they finally found the Silk Road Servers by means still unclear to this day, it was announced that the government would be auctioning off all the Bitcoin seized from the Silk Road. A total of ~44,000 BTC had been auctioned off in 4 or 5 auctions with the winner/s remaining anonymous. I remember thinking to myself, wondering what kind of huge discount one or more groups had gotten on those lots of Bitcoin.....come to find out recently Tim Draper had bid over the current market price to ensure he would win all the auctions, which turned out to be a successful strategy.

SO WHERE AM I GOING WITH ALL THIS???

Even though Mr. Draper overpaid at the time for the huge lot of Bitcoins, by today's value he profited to the tune of ~400 million dollars by having the foresight to see value where others did not. That story really stuck with me over the years a\s I invested in Bitcoin and other altcoins. Those investments have made me a great deal of money in the past year, but those purchases took foresight and endless research which resulted in millions of dollars in profits in a short period of time. I want to share that research and love of all things crypto related with the STEEM community in the hopes that others can take my research and make themselves millions of dollars as well! What am asking from you in return?? Nothing. What am I going to share with the community....everything! I hope I can be a resource to anyone considering investing or currently investing in cryptocurrencies, tokens, ico's, etc!
