So I guess I'll begin my journey into Steemit with an introduction. I like to keep my content structured, therefore, my introduction consists of 4 parts:
- Real life Cliff
- Doctor Cliff?
- Gaming
- Plans for future content
But before I begin I would like to thank my colleagues @indy8phish and @josie2214 for introducing me to this platform.
Real life Cliff
My name is Davis and I am not really a Doctor and nothing in my name relates to a cliff. If I mislead someone with my nickname, I'm sorry.
I'm a 24-year-old IT system consultant from Latvia. I like to play video games (more on that later in this post), watching TV shows, movies and anime. Lately I have read a lot of sci-fi and horror books so it is getting progressively harder to balance the time required for all of my hobbies.
The activities mentioned above take up my time during the dark, cold and rainy autumns and winters of Latvia but during the warmer months I usually spend a lot of time in the skate parks that are found here in Riga. Usually inline-skating but sometimes I ride around on my trusty cruiser skateboard.
To keep the life more interesting while I am at home I adopted a cat named Dora. (Not an explorer) My girlfriend created an Instagram profile for our cat so if you want see some pictures check out kitteh_dora.
Doctor Cliff?
Every nickname has a story behind it and so does mine. I came up with the name while in queue for a League Of Legends game back in 2011. My friends noticed that I kept using the Mountain summoner icon in League of Legends and I never really noticed it.
That is where the name Cliff was first used to refer to me for the first time. The "Dr" was added right after because I chose the champion Dr. Mundo in the next game we played.
So yeah, that's the story behind my nickname - Doctor Cliff. A steroid abusing cliff, I guess.
Gaming
If you have gotten this far you must have noticed that I'm all about the games.
I have played video games since I was a kid. I started playing games on an NES and Sega Genesis but the love for playing games really started after my mom brought home PC. My older brother quickly installed the games he loved - Age Of Empires 2 and StarCraft: Brood War and Diablo. Out of the three Diablo became my go-to game and I spent way too much time on it but Diablo 2 is still my most played game.
During my teenage years I played a lot of different MMORPGs. (Lineage 2, MU Online, World Of Warcraft, Runescape and Ultima Online).
Now I mostly play ARPGs like Grim Dawn and Path of Exile but I enjoy a game or two of League Of Legends with my friends.
Plans for future content
After explaining who I am and what I love you can probably guess what my posts will be about.
First of all I would love to focus on gaming. If ARPGs and especially Path of Exile sounds interesting to you, my Steemit will be for you.
During my time here I will write about the games I play but I won't be reviewing games. If I like a game, I will most likely share my experience with you guys!
I'm looking forward to posting here on Steemit and I hope you guys will enjoy my posts!

Hi @doctorcliff, Nice introduction! Short and concise, nicely structured. Good section titles.
I'm not particularly interested in horror topics, but I do share your passion for Diablo II, Brood War (Starcraft) and Age of Empires, which I too played A LOT growing up. I'm also very interested to read game descriptions and experiences with newer games (not necessarily reviews), as I rarely find time to test any myself anymore.
Upvoted and following.
