Introducing myself. Don Jandro

Hey Steemers or people of the steemit community, :)

I came across this website by checking out Jeff's recent interview with the founders. (Jeff from TheDollarVigilante on Youtube @dollarvigilante) I love the idea of a platform were there's no censorship and so far from reading multiple posts on steemit. I'm looking forward in seeing how big this can get.

I've noticed on other social media platforms blatantly censoring content, political views, activism agains't corporations such as Monsanto, Big Pharma and the list goes on. Also providing favouritism to large corporations rather than helping the small and medium size businesses. I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My name is Alejandro but most of my friends and co-workers refer to me as Don. I've studied in Professional Sales and Starting a Business at the John F Kennedy Business Centre (Formerly, now known as JFK Adult Centre) My mom is from Peru and my dad from Chile. They both came to Canada at a young age, hoping for a better life than in their native countries. We all heard how North America is the land of opportunities. I'm very proud of been the son of two hard working parents and while never forgetting my roots. I'm a proud Canadian.

For a long time I was debating if I should start blogging and writing articles online. I tend to discuss with close friends and family about the issues in the world and how to better ourselves for the future. I found myself compelled to do so after one particular moment in my life. I recently had an Anaphylaxis which is severe allergic reaction. I'm not ashamed to admit it, I was scared and it frightening to know it was life-threatening. By the grace of God, my family was there at the time this happened and we were able to get the proper medical attention I desperately needed. This experience made me rethink about my decisions in life, how I approached certain situations and above all, projects that I wanted to undertake but never manage to finish it or be consistent. I know for some it sounds cliche to say all of this but If I can express or even write into words what I felt. Knowing it could have been the last day on this world, I would want to leave it better than it was.

By either helping someone overcome their fears, their frustrations or even bring some joy to their life. I'm happy with that idea. I've recently made a bucket list of things I'd like to accomplish and everyday I strive to keep myself in check. They are reminders of what has to be done. Of course, I don't expect to change the world overnight. I do feel that it works, I became aware of how the world really is because somebody care more about my well been than themselves. I think we do need more of that in the world.

I've been thinking of starting a podcast with a dear friend of mine titled ''Topic nights''. A bit of backstory, we would meet up a few times a week with other friends and discuss about philosophy, psychology, sports, games, etc. Whatever the topic was, that's what the night mostly revolved around. We didn't notice this until somebody outside of our group of friends pointed it out.

I'm also a music producer and sound designer. I've sang, wrote and performed in Spanish years ago. I did however take an indefinite break, but you never know. I transition from the reggaeton artist to a music producer. I've been using Ableton Live to produce my music and I've mostly made electronic music as of late. Mostly recording local artists and selling instrumentals to them. I've been doing it for the past 8 years. (it will be 9 in December of this year) I've had my music played in South America mostly, such as Dominican Republic, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and so on.

This whole blogging thing is pretty new to me so bear with me if it's somewhat scattered in different fields. My mom told me she took me to the doctor when I was 5 or 6 years old I believe. They prescribed this medication for ADHD. Granted, I never followed up years later if it's true or not. But my mother noticed I wasn't the same when i was that medication, so she took me off it. Best decision ever, as the great comedian Bill Burr said on Joe Rogan's Podcast. With my ADHD, ''you can be looking up about the Illuminati, how to bake a pie or a bear fighting an eagle.'' :)

With all that been said, God bless you all and never let go of your dreams and ambitions. Life is a journey and even if we backtrack or take the wrong turn. You can always find your way back.

Thank you
