Introduction of Sorts

So I have been informed that an introduction type post is in order so here goes.

My name is Vikki and I currently spend most of my time looking after two young people and writing for Explore Adelaide.

My young humans are named Alana and Amelia (Milly for short) and are 4 years old and 11 months old respectively. I like to think they're pretty amazing, even though they both regularly steal my food.

This Explore Adelaide thing I mentioned above is a website that my partner and I have set up to blog all our adventures around South Australia. We write about all sorts of cafes, playgrounds, beaches and local businesses that we find and that we like. It started off as a potential project for Tim to do and turned into a bigger project that I write a lot of content for now.

Some other random facts about me are:

• I like taking photos, yet I'm not very good at it and I don't get much of a chance to do it because Tim always hogs the camera.
• I really like writing. I've wanted to write a book for many years now, and I have had quite a few ideas I'd like to write down, but I also don't feel like my writing is up to a good enough level to do so yet.
• I like animals. Mainly types of cats or Australian Natives. Two of my favourite animals to see at the zoo are Tigers and Cheetahs. I could quite happily spend my days working at the zoo with a variety of animals if I wasn't writing or possibly being a scientist.

• I really like Halloween. I think it's awesome to dress up and decorate the house to look all scary. Halloween parties are always fun to attend.
• Due to the last two points I listed, Tim and I were married on Halloween at Monarto Zoo in 2015. We married each other in the presence of all our close friends, as well as a large number of giraffes, zebras, eland and ostriches.
• A few months ago I bought a hula hoop and started to get into hooping. I have improved quite a bit with my hand work but my waist hooping still needs a lot of work. It's not quite as easy as it used to be when I was a kid.

• I really like science, and I really like that my 4 year old is interested in science too.
• I love video games. In particular my favourite is Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I may have a Triforce tattooed on my back because of this.
