Hi there, people of the great land of Steemit!

So… where do we start?

Ah yes. Before I start throwing massive arrays of useful and rather interesting information at you, let’s get acquainted first. I’m a regular person with quite irregular (and magnificent) friends. Everything I am, you can find in my profile. What you won’t find there, however, is that I am a photographer, a self-taught pianist, who loves sarcasm, whose favorite series is Friends and favorite character is Chandler Bing (Bing!), as can be noticed from the epigraph.

As you may have noticed, English is not my first language, neither it is the second, but I am a huge fan of the tongue nonetheless. So, if you find my vocabulary a tad too formal or some sentences sounding like they were not written by a native speaker - it’s because they’re really not.

What to expect from this blog: EVERYTHING, and I mean it. Expect to see posts reviewing movies and explaining the symbolism of the circumpunct, talks about business books and and intricacies of magic, but mostly it will be me telling stories and rambling about my life.

I used to be a blogger for 2,5 years, mildly successful, even got a job offer from one of the largest media distributors in the country, but then had a little falling out. My creativity seemed to have taken a dive. Or perhaps it was just my laziness.

I love travel. The reason why I am a citizen of the world is that I’ve lived almost half my life overseas in four different countries (excluding Kazakhstan), not only by continent, but also by language and culture.

I love the fantasy genre, and consider Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, the Witcher saga and Harry Potter the most genius fantasy books ever written. Period.

I tried writing fantasy stories and novels myself. There is a chance you will see them here and tell me whether I should continue to become the next big thing or just drop the damn idea.

But my undying passion for fantasy is not limited to books. I am a video game freak, and games nowadays are becoming richer in plots and twists in comparison to the 90s, where, as the great John Carmack put it, a good game could have no more story than a porn movie. I have 14 years of gaming experience, so expect me to talk a lot about games here. My personal favorites, judging on their gigantic and detailed lore, are Warcraft and The Elder Scrolls (sorry, Diablo).

But those two, albeit occupying a very special place in my gamer’s heart, are only the tip of the iceberg. I cherish the old classics, like Doom and Prince of Persia (1989), as well as the newer titles, like the Dead Space and Dragon Age.

But enough about gaming and fantasy, because Sci-Fi is another genre I love very much. Yeah-yeah, I am one of those people who prioritizes fiction over realism in movies, because you see realism every day! Look outside and there’s your movie! Therefore, it is only logical that I am a fan of Star Wars and Star Trek, duh.

Technology is another of my interests that you won’t find in my profile. I’m not a programmer, a hacker, and half the time I can’t understand what people are saying when they speak of cryptocurrencies, but I do love the world of IT. Matrix is one of my absolute favorite movies (the first one, before the Wachowskis descended into CGI madness and pseudo philosophical mumbo-jumbo).

Being a big fan of anonymity and having a healthy level of paranoia, this is the first time in my life I expose myself and share this much personal information. Most of it cannot be found anywhere, not even in the deepest clandestine vaults of NSA.
