STEEMIT - MY NEW TREE

I've been busy planting many seeds and preparing for the upcoming spring and summer growing season. I have just signed onto Steemit and this is my first post.

Being a newbie, I’m not sure I understand completely how everything works but after reading several others posts in the gardening categories, I love it and feel like Steemit is one of my new trees I’ve just planted and hope to watch it grow and grow for many years.

To me, there’s something magical about being in my garden. No matter how stressful my life is, spending time in my garden seems to heal my soul. When growing season rolls around, I will make time for my garden every single day without fail. Mentally, spiritually, and physically, it just feels right. Not everything we do in life is productive but gardening definitely is, whether it’s for food or ornamental.

Living in Canada, we don’t have a long growing season. (4 months) Most things need to be started indoors. I have most of my seedlings started now, I just need the weather to co-operate.

Another fun thing to do is collect seeds from my gardens throughout the summer and fall. I love to get seeds from my favorite tomato varieties each year. Along with anything else I can collect seeds from. I love sharing my seeds with family and friends. My seed collections will soon be another blog that I hope to do soon. I’m thinking it would be very cool to share seeds with the steemit community from around the world and compare our outcomes.

I have so many gardening tips and tricks that I have learned over the years. Everyday I discover something new that I cannot wait to try. Looking forward to reading and learning from others who share the same interests as I do.
