Here's a user-friendly guide to Steemit that I put together for new users especially that you may find helpful.
As you start to participate at Steemit by posting, commenting, upvoting, and resteeming other people's posts, you're likely going to have more questions about how the site works. This guide will help you answer them. It's a very brief introduction to the most basic elements of Steemit, which include steem, steem dollars, steem power, voting power, followers, vests and witnesses. It also includes links to some very helpful external sites. Below is some of what it covers. Follow this link for much more!
User statistics. Just put in your @name (external sites using the blockchain):
- Steemdb - account stats.
- Steemd - account stats.
- Steemstats
- Steem.supply - stats on possible payouts to your account.
- Steemnow - more interesting account stats.
- Steemwhales - various stats including user rankings. H/t to @cryptowallet.
- SteemDollar: your vote's worth - find out how much your vote is worth, based on steem power. H/t to @rymlen.
- Steemitboard - Shows your awards - by @steemitboard.
