Introducing: Myself

in introduceyourself •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hi Steemit community,

First off,

I wish to thank @milanademort for extending the invitation to Steemit and making a post about my page. Haven't had the chance to properly introduce myself and post

It's exciting to find an engaged and dedicated community built on top of a tightly-knit passion for innovation, disruption, and advancement.

Before we dive in, a little about me.

My name is Mikhail Kuznetsov, I am originally from Russia now residing in Los Angeles, California.

Currently, I am the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) at RSD (Real Social Dynamics).

Additionally, I am the President / CEO at WhiteCoda - a lifestyle company with a tech branch dedicated to providing White-Label CRM Solutions to Internet Entrepreneurs generating $100,000+/mo in revenue.

Furthermore, I am a music producer with degrees in Keyboard Performance, Audio Engineering, and Post Production.

With all of those things in mind,
let me tell you why I decided to join Steemit:

I have worked with clients such as Tai Lopez and Simple Pickup, as well as with a lot of other YouTubers / celebrities that you may be familiar with.

Time and time again, one concept comes up over and over again:

"How do I monetize my content?"

For over a decade, almost every single one of my clients has brought up this issue.

Certain platforms are great at certain things...

- Twitter for conversations...
- Instagram for images...
- YouTube for video...

However, there was one thing that has ALWAYS been missing:

Monetization

And not just "monetization", but "monetization you can LIVE OFF" - there's a big difference.

Sure, you can get ad revenue, but that pales in comparison to true monetization provided by other sources. That is exactly why almost every successful YouTuber I know has a monetized back-end (whether it's digital products, brand deals, etc)

So... why me? Why Steemit?

I think Steemit has 3 great things going for it:

1. Incentivized Content

I hammer my staff on sustainable systems CONSTANTLY. The first thing that excites me about Steemit is the ability to ACTUALLY MONETIZE your content. This is huge. The incentive-driven model brings a sense of purpose to the content creation process that is often missing from the casual blogger / writer sphere. This aspect of the platform is extremely powerful, and should not be under-stated.

2. Tight-Knit Community

In a way, the community here on Steemit reminds me of the old days of Tumblr (more on that in a second). There is a sense of "no-bullshit" attitude, which lends itself to a high standard with respect to content quality. Basically, the people on Steemit are Savvy (yes, YOU, I see you!), and that opens to door to positive synergy - something that is a heavy success metric when it comes to social-driven platforms.

3. High Sharability

The content on Steemit is inherently sharable. This is due in part to a combination of #1 and #2 above, added to the high level of relevancy for the topic in question. If you go on Google and search "Cryptocurrency Algorithm Manipulation", you are not likely to share that article on your Facebook feed - but with Steemit it feels almost natural, almost organic, and that's a beautiful thing.

So, I mentioned Tumblr earlier... why?

Should that be taken as a cautionary tale... or as a mark of success to aim for?

BOTH.

Here's why:

The words "innovation", "disruption", and "advancement" used in my introduction are all cliches. They are cliches for a reason - each concept is easy to dream up, but inherently difficult to actually execute.

As cliche as they are... they are still things we strive for.

Steemit has a lot similar with Tumblr:

  • A tight-knit community passionate about ideas, and about freedom of information / expression.
  • Ability to distribute your content quickly within a pre-existing social framework.
  • Inherent consume-ability, making the content a pleasure to engage with.

However, Steemit has a big "one-up" on Tumblr, and that comes back to the word I mentioned again and again in this introduction:

"Monetization"

So, without further ado, here's what you can expect from me on Steemit:

First

I don't expect you to follow me. I expect you to go out there into the world and figure it out.

This world doesn't need anymore followers... it needs more LEADERS.

Second

You can expect the highest-quality content on everything from Internet Marketing, to Cryptocurrency, to Entrepreneurship.

If you are passionate about improving your life - health, wealth, love, happiness, and all that jazz - then stick around.

I'm a fanatical assimilator of knowledge on topics ranging advertising to neuroscience to quantum mechanics, as well as a dedicated bio-hacker (Nootropics, anyone?)

So if you resonate with the message, cool - let's get together and have a ball.

Third

What I will ask of you today is to comment below:

"What project are you working on right now, and what is the #1 thing with respect to marketing that would help you?"

I have generated well over $10m+ in revenue, and would be happy to tackle anything you want to throw at me.

Again, thank you @milanademort for the invitation - I am excited to contribute to this beautiful ecosystem.

Good suggestions @shaka!

Hi Mikhail, welcome to Steemit. I am working on building a memory business with video courses, training material, speeches and coaching. I have a good brand and a world memory champion as my business partner. Basically all we need now is marketing and we have just very basic understanding of it.

When I arrived on Steemit a few weeks ago I was very confused how this all works. I read through hundreds of articles about the dynamics of Steemit and finally wrote this The Ultimate Guide for Steemit Beginners: Money, Posts, Design, Topics, Bots, Behaviour, Community and Apps. I wrote it for YOU. Normally I wouldn't post my links into others comments unasked. But the massive positive feedback from my readers made it my mission to help newcomers finding this post quickly. Feel free to ask any questions. I will try to answer them all. I apologize if you are not interested in this and I will not further disturb you.

The Ultimate Guide for Steemit Beginners

Money, Posts, Design, Topics, Bots, Behaviour, Community and Apps

@flauwy

Hey flauwy,

You Ultimate Guide is very thorough, loving the little mouse avatar as well!

Would love to hear more about what you are doing with your memory business, how you are planning to acquire, convert, and retain leads, as well as what the overall vision is.

Cheers!

We are developing a video course for how to remember numbers right now and will continue with other topics afterwards. We also plan to create a learning App. The vision is to create a non-profit organization to send memory coaches to schools and universaties and create big memory sports events with high price money. Regarding "acquire, convert, and retain leads": I don't even know what that means. ;)

Thank you, glad to be here!

Hello @draconum. Welcome to Steemit. I am David. I wish you have a happy journey here.

Thank you David, the journey is what it's all about! Cheers!

Welcome! Nice job on your introduction. I suspect your perspective on Twitter will change the longer you are here on Steemit. After a month here on Steemit, for me Twitter has become a trivial pursuit with some useful links and a lot of snark.

If you like photography, Steemit is great.

Yes the monitization is a nice by product, but so far the friendly vibe and content is what attracts me to Steemit.

If you want to keep track of how we are doing as a platform, I suggest following @penguinpablo who does a daily steem stats report:

Steem on and happy trails! @roused

Thank you @roused!

With respect to Twitter, I find that it is still a useful medium of conversation with respect to certain niches, however the signal-to-noise ratio has been skewed towards the negative end of the spectrum for some time.

Also, I have followed @penguinpablo and will keep an eye out on his daily stats reports, a great resource there, I appreciate it! :)

Welcome to Steemit @Draconum !! Glad to see more people like you - here joining Steemit! Nice post, i will follow your account, please follow me ...

Great intro post. Was that an original quote (on risk)? Following you.

welcome to steemit, I upvoted and put a follow on you to see your future posts :) @draconum

Thank you!

Glad to see you,I hope you enjoy here as much as i do !! Nice post, i will follow your account, please follow me at @zeeshankhan

Hi @draconum and welcome to steemit. I wish you good luck on this platform. Be original and be patient. Feel free to write or follow me. If you're also such a big Geography and Travel freak like me, then follow my "FUNwithFLAGS" and "Travel" blogs. See you @linux144

Thank you @linux144, I will take the time to check out your content, cheers!

Welcome and great introduction. Gonna follow you. Regardless, that I agree with your statement, but I like to follow in topics which I don't have skills or connection too. Therefore in other fields you might see worth of follow for own growth.

Welcome @draconum! Great to have someone new onboard who's passionate about content and community.

I think you'll like the experience here... you might even find yourself surprised by the ways in which Steemit makes other social platforms seem... less relevant. Sometimes you can achieve a lot more with 200 dedicated readers who engage than with 100,000 random "followers" who don't really care.

You mention tumblr... I'm more of a golden-oldie-moldie... I experience Steemit as the greatest community building site since the heyday of "social blogging" around 2002-2006-- Xanga, LiveJournal, Diary-X and others... a true mix of engaging content and loyal community.

It's good to meet you, Welcome to steemit! The project I am working on is making and marketing an album.

Former Musician here myself, now an RV digital nomad. Thanks for the insight! Currently writing an Ultimate Guide, would love to promote it when finished--hopefully next month.

Love it! How are you enjoying the RV Digital Nomad Lifestyle? Sounds pretty epic!

Absolutely love it! I really allows you true freedom of location, in a country where the main attraction is the natural wonders imo (USA). If you're outdoorsey you get to really engage in your sports of choice.

Hi, welcome to this community, I wish you success.

Welcome to Steemit! :)

Let me welcome you to this community Draconum . I'm @chrisx and if you need any help don't hesitate to contact or follow me :-)

Thanks man! Pumped to be here :)

Congratulations @draconum! You received a personal award!

Happy Birthday! - You are on the Steem blockchain for 2 years!
