Hey @johndoer123 a couple of those tips were helpful, thanks!
Especially about only following people you have stuff in common with, to prevent too many junky notifications!
I found this post by seeing all the people who made their first post like me, on Easter Fools blue Moon day!

    I am glad I could be of service. I really just want for you to succeed. I hope your meeting a lot of nice people. If you look into it, I think there are ways that you can have notifications, but you have to use another program. Anyway I'll be seeing you around. I hope that you have a really good day.
