My Introduction

Hi Steemit Friends,

I’ve been lurking around Steemit for about a month now. I’ve decided I would like to be an active member in the community. I’m relatively new to cryptocurrencies, and found this by way of a podcast. I want to find people that are willing to share their knowledge. I’m looking for a benevolent mentors so that one day I can be one myself. I believe I can find many mentors on Steemit. I
have a lot of faith in humanity from some of the posts I’ve seen here.

Honestly, I haven’t been this excited about technology since I went to web design school in 2007. The only place that had a coding program was The Art Institute of Colorado. It was an extremely overpriced school but I transferred all my gen. ed. credits and got in A.A. in Interactive Media Design. I Mostly learned Basic HTML, CSS & Javascript. I am one of those that bought $100 in bitcoin in 2009 and sold it because I was unsure of the technology and was a broke college kid. I don’t regret it, I wouldn’t be who I am today without the struggles. I am excited now because I have always disliked ‘The Man’. I like the idea of decentralized currency. I love that I can cut out the middle man and can make trades. I have committed to going down that crypto rabbit hole. I feel a spark of hope in this revolution. This ‘magic internet money’ does not discriminate. Anyone can get into it. I am trying to spread as much knowledge to the people that I love, because I truly believe this technology will help them. I believe it is young but has the capability to change the world.

I now work for a small Photography company in Durango Colorado. We do volume photos for schools and sports teams. It is a rewarding job and flexible enough for my family. My husband and son are the lights of my life. We ski and travel in our 68’ VW bus. The VW has two names. My husband calls it “The Bone Bus”. I call her “The Mistress”.

I have a side business that is my passion. I am a silversmith and I vend at music festivals and farmers markets. It will be something I do for the rest of my life. It allows be to be a traveling gypsy. I plan on blogging on the adventures of this here on Steemit and this year I will be accepting payments with cryptocurrienies. I am going to start with Bitcoin and Ethereum. My dream is to have the financial freedom to pursue this business.

I have a lot to learn from my fellow Steemians. I have a lot to share as well.
