Introducing DR. HODLER! Say hi!

in introduceyourself •  7 years ago

Hello everyone! I did a post here once but i really had no idea what this platform was so it was just a one-liner here. I want to dive a bit deeper and give you guys a little bit of insight on who i am. My name is Spencer, i am the creater of Dr Hodler; it's a website (like bitcointalk) just a bit fancier. I am a father of two beautiful children (3 year old son & 10 year old daughter). I am currently learning how to program with Javascript & Solidity. I plan on creating a game on the ethereum network once i get better. My blog here on steemit is basically a news aggregator; i collect news from all sources that i can find and bring it to steemit. Anywho, i hope to meet new people here, build relationships and continue to use steemit as my main social media platform. Leave a comment, i'd love to link with like minded individuals.

I'd also like to extend an invite to everyone to join the Dr. Hodler forums; click below if you're interested.

I would love to learn JavaScript too... any recommended books for me please?. Lemme check out your Dr. Hodler Forum😊👌

I am currently using CodeAcademy.com; it's been awesome for step-by-step instructions. I've also downloaded a few ebooks as well.

Alright. Thank you very much. I appreciate

Hello eightnine, welcome to the great community of Steemit, I hope you have a great time here ...

Thank you! I appreciate it.

Hi!
(although feeling lured to just click the "post" button now without adding any comment, I do so anyway 😉 Welcome and I hope you enjoy Steemit as much as I do! Thanks for sharing your background with us and why don´t you create the game on EOS instead of Ethereum?)

I haven't looked into EOS much. I looked into NEO but in order to deploy a smart contract on NEO but it's around $25,000 (500 coins). I wanted to build on that blockchain but after some research it's just extremely expensive.

I found that ethereum has a good amount of documentation and Solidity would be easier to learn for now. Steem would've been awesome as well but i'm not sure on this system either.

I see... well, maybe look into EOS - what I´m hearing, it will be faster and better than ether and the dev community seems awesome - I´m just an investor, but of what I´m seeing EOS is revolutionary (and since Dan already proofed with STEEM what he is capable of doing, I guess EOS is a save bet)

I'm going to have to check it out; thank you for the heads up!

Hi, I am @cryptkeeper17 and I am hosting a seven day contest to sponsor for free at least one person into @steembasicincome, which costs $1.000sbd to join. I would like to extend you an invite, it does not cost you anything, and the entire payout is going to sponsor one (or more) new members in this club among the new steemit members that enter the contest. https://steemit.com/earthnation/@cryptkeeper17/contest-for-minnows-free-membership-to-steem-basic-income-possible-010-upvotes-1517857865
