Eleanor's unconventional Hawaii life comes to Steemit

Aloha Steemit!

I write to you from...the moon? No, this is actually the lava desert where I live on the Big Island, just beneath the active crater Kilauea.

This brand new land goes with the theme of my life at this time--building new ways of existing outside the "norm". I'm into grassroots movements, doing it yourself, questioning the status quo, ditching the dogma, open source projects, creating future change instead of resisting the present tribulations.

Cryptocurrency is a new game for me that I'm really excited to be getting into and learning more about. I'm stoked to connect with like minded people that are inspired to create new systems of communication and exchange like this. I would like to be part of building online communities that support and inspire our interests.

I have an incessant passion for internet research and am always using information to fuel my choices and creations. I would like to use this platform to compile my ideas and findings and connect with other people looking to do the same--self-educate and take full responsibility for our creations. I love sharing through the internet not only for learning but for having the personal connections. It is so empowering to know we are not alone in our perspective and to feel a part of a movement, especially when this is not something we have locally.

Some of the projects I'm into I plan to write about:

Building
I'm into making structures with whatever I have available. I like to recycle or use local materials.

Our house(tent) is made of PVC pipe.

I plan on doing some show and tell of various building projects I have made and am in the process of.

The Body
I'm into learning about the great and fascinating mystery of the human body. I am always nerding out on anatomy. I just can't help it, the whole universe is reflected in us and there's always more to discover. I don't use conventional doctors or medicines. I love to craft medicines from local plants and eat whole foods.
I love to move energy through my body and get high on dancing and moving. This is my #1 medicine.

I'm going to share about my experience with yoga, aerial, outdoor adventures, medicine and food crafting, and compile informative pieces on research that inspires me.

Making babies and family

My family: me, @supercoe(the brilliant tech that puts the glam into our glamp by getting us wired and maintaining all of our technology), and our super sweet pup Pono are about to be four as I am in the process of growing a human inside of me.

I want to connect with other families and mamas that are into doing things off-grid style too. I want to share info on my experience and research into unassisted/free birth and homeschooling/unschooling.
