I'm so excited about being here, I hope you will take some time to view this introduction post. I'm not used to writing very much in English since many years ago, but I'll talk about this later on.
My name is Steve Calzavara and I was born in Canada in 1958 (wow, that's a long time ago). I was only 13 when my parents decided to move back to Italy where they used to live before immigrating to Canada. I live in Italy since 1971, In a city called Castelfranco Veneto, about 50 minutes from Venice.
I went to high school here in Italy and worked as an electrician in our city hospital for 35 years. Now I help my wife that owns a modal clothing store.
Every few years we come to America to visit my brother who lives in Sarasota Florida. I love traveling so I have visited many places in the world.
I happened to see just by chance a youtube video that was talking about Steemit and this made me curious. I decided to start this journey in Steemit and took a look at many posts and really liked it. I don't usually blog or write very much on socials but I got a very good feeling on this platform.
I'm planning to post photos of places where I have been and also some other topics that I'm interested in, such as Italian cooking and recipes, and some ordinary life happenings.
Please excuse my errors and grammar. This is also one of the reasons that made me prefer Steemit.... so I have a chance to try to keep up my English. Please let me know if I make some terrible errors.

Welcome nice to have you here , maybe you are lucky to be joining when steem is at a really low price . When price is low less people are posting and you have a better chance to earn steem . I highly recommend you post a lot and keep on posting . Till you get to at least 15 Steem Power. Don’t give up . I don’t recommend you buy Steem Power but I do recommend you post often till you get to 15 Steem Power. If you can not post go ahead and make sure to vote at least 6 times when you wake up and 4 times when you are going to bed. Don’t forget to get all your friends to do the same! I repeat I would never tell someone to buy 15 steem but honestly for 95% of the people here will only get to 15 if the buy them ! It’s up to you Good Luck with the choice you make

Sounds like what you intend to do on Steemit will fit right in. There are communities here that revolve around photography, cooking and even just what's going on in life. I hope you've had a chance to look around and find some people to get to know. It will be very helpful.
Having an Italian and Canadian background is pretty unique to my experience. Is it common for Italians to move to Canada?
oh, and I think we're all getting old to some extent. I'm not that far behind you, but sometimes it feels like I'm much older than I am. That can happen when I roll out of bed in the morning.
