I got caught in Steemit...

in introduceyourself •  8 years ago

...and I won't be getting an early release on good behavior, that I can promise. So you might as well get to know me a little. I've already been lurking in here for a week so I know something about you, now it's your turn!

So hello there Steemians, my name is Eve and I was raised by wolves in the deep forests of Finland. I'm a total night owl, blind as a bat, ferocious like a lion and lazy as a sloth. I'm an introvert to the CORE and I have a feeling that this community is housing quite a few likeminded people.

I'm not much of a writer but I like to take portraits of myself as a form of self expression and let out feelings that have been building up inside me. My style is pretty raw and unrefined, just like I am. My weapon of choice is Nikon D7200 with a Nikkor 35mm 1.8 lens and I only use available light, because you know, it's free. I think I'll let the pictures do most of the talking, cause I sure as hell have a lot to say even if I don't spell it out.

Would you bail me out?

Welcome.

I think I'll let the pictures do most of the talking, cause I sure as hell have a lot to say even if I don't spell it out.

You write well too, knowing this place, people would prefer to read text rather than view portraits.

Thanks for your input, I'll keep that in mind.

You take a nice photo. Love the cigarette. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!

Hello Eve, welcome to Steem! :-)

Thank you very much 😊

Welcome to Steemit Eve! I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! :-)

Introverts united.

<3

Welcome to Steemit! I think you'll find quiet a few like-minded people here... lots of artists and independent thinkers.

It takes a little time to get established and find a following, but it's well worth the effort.

Thank you, I like it here already! Patience is definitely not my strong suit but I'm trying.

This is the best, creative introduceyourself I've seen yet. Your photos are beautiful and say so much! I can't wait to see more :)

Thank you so much, I'm actually pretty proud of myself for having this idea :D

best introduce yourself I have yet to see

Hey thanks, I actually went and bought that letter board for this :D

hahaha

A little late for this are you? 😂😂😂

aaahaah... raised by wolves ?!? So I was right, when I saw it in your eyes the other day!

While I am waiting for a layer of paint to dry, I thought I'd take a closer look at your posts again.

Before I forget... sorry for the conversation that got a bit out of hand on your page last night. It was funny in a way, but afterwards I felt bad, because you might find your comments all screwed up by some hoodloms. If you want, I'll erase mine.

Anyways... wanted to see a bit more of you and thought, I might as well start at the beginning. Of course your introduction is unique, as everything else I have seen so far.

Keep staring at the second photo.. to bad I can't enlarge it much...

For the longest time I drew faces only from the side, sort of like the ancient Egyptians did. Hard to find a good model for that. Your profile is... well.. .. I don't know the right word... but I simply can't take my eyes off of it!

Would you consider letting me use it for reference for a future painting? I'd need it at much higher resolution with your permission to use it...

I should find a way to show my wolfness more, I can feel it inside me but I don't think everyone can see it.

Oh darling, please don't erase your comments! You'd feel it if I didn't like us commenting back and forth.

That second photo is probably the only one I have ever shown from the right side of my face. Weird that you like that. I look much better from the other side.

Hard to believe for me, how one could not see your wolfness... it is particularly strong in the "uncovered" pics. Which makes sense, right... since its not.. covered ;-)

But I'm starting to notice it in all its different facets in other pictures too. Its not only the wild and dangerous... I think there is more to the wolf than just that.

This picture is magnetic! We are not used to seeing ourselves from the side and so sometimes we are not sure if we like the different perspective. Of course I'm very curious to see the other side (giggle)... and... you didn't answer my question ;-)

Oh sorry, I somehow missed the whole question! I would be honored to be a part of your artwork BUT, that is the only version I have left of that photo :/ I don't think it would be a good reference photo even if I had it at higher res, I shot it purposely with high ISO so it's gritty and grainy.

Arrrghh... that is very unfortunate.

I already downloaded this one to look at it closely (74 kb!), but for my way of working, there may just not be enough detail. It is likely almost impossible to recreate it, so I will just have to keep my eyes peeled for another one, if that's alright.

Glad you like the idea of being part of my artwork. Please don't be dissapointed, if you don't see results any time soon. My process of giving shape to an idea and creating the actual piece is very slow...

Worked with a model from Moldova quite some time ago on the painting below... it took 3 years until I could show her the results!

Die Enthüllung_0-1500x650.jpg

Glad I'm really patient, NOT. Your artwork has so much detail that I'm not at all surprises that it takes a long time to finish.

Hehe... patience comes with age I guess. Used to be very impatient... and intolerant. Towards ignorance ;-)

Painting is 1 meter by 2.30 meters.. total of some 3000 hours 😋

I grow more impatient and intolerant every day.

I understand, my sister is a painter so I've seen what it takes to make a large piece.

You are lovely and so creative! and your photos too.
