A better introduction.

First off my name is David. I live in a small community close to saskatoon saskatchewan. This is me below, kinda a crappy picture, it was taken with my webcam. But its literally one of the few i had handy, Im not big on selfies. Even tho i love taking pictures, But i prefer to take pictures of plants and nature and my animals etc.

A little bit about myself. I was kicked out of school at 15, turned to drug's and drinking heavy, tho managed to hold down a full time job working in a welding shop... welding and sandblasting. at 19 i started working at a bar and got really heavily into drinking and hanging around with biker's who for the most part were great people, But due to that lifestyle i met others who weren't so good and got into hard drugs and my life took a rather shitty turn. Was less then a good person you could say for a few years.. At 22 i quit drug's cold turkey when my grandpa passed away to be sober for the funeral and never looked back. I moved back in with my parent's out of the slum i was living in with 12 other junkie's. Once back home i used their mower and started doing lawn's and such, there wasn't many jobs in a small town period. let alone for a ex junky with a bad rep. my first summer i did quite well. and bought into bitcoin as i was always pretty into computer's and had a feeling in time theyd be worth something. for the next 5 year's i had my struggle's but i kept up with doing yard's in summer and shoveling and odd job's in winter. By this time i started investing in miner's for crypto currency and started gather old electronics to rip apart for silver and gold. Out of my first payout from gold i bought myself all new equipment, mowers, hedge clippers, weedwhacker. a rototiller, snowblower and small tractor and set into doing yardscaping on a larger scale and expanded my end of life electronics collecting to a few small towns nearby, by having friends act as a drop off point and me picking up once a month,,, Laptops, desktops, cell phones, tablets etc almost any kind of electronic you can name. im now 30 and last summer i added garden co hosting to my list, many seniors that hire me for yard work also have gardens they no longer use and i have made them offers to use thier space and split the bounty. i supply seeds and do all the work, they supply the area and let me use thier water and we split the crop. This summer i will have 14 gardens... over 40 weekly customers for mowing and yard maintenace. i have spread to 6 towns for e- scrap collection, and i sold out my bitcoin at the height of the rush in december. I no longer need to work to make end's meet yet keep expanding anyways cause all 3 things, gardening,, yardscaping, and e scrap are things i have a genuine interest in. Morale of my story is, if you like doing something enough you can find a way to make it profitable if you keep at it. ive survived the last 8 years off gardening, and scrap and doing yard work, i only sold out my cryptos this december. and i literally came up from being 50 000+ in debt without a penny in my pocket with minimal help, one month rent free and borrowed a lawn mower was my beginning and by the end of that first month i was paying rent and bought my own mower and have continually upgraded. what you put into life you will get back, dont expect to make it if you take a half ass approach to anything.

I joined steemit to spread my knowledge of gardening and landscaping, aswell as electronic recycling. Not only have a made a good living out of them. but their just good practice to get into even if you do it from a hobbyist level. they promote being enviromentally friendly. Electronics are filled with chemicals and unsafe material to be disposing of into our enviroment and most people dont realize that. Most people also dont realize how many harmful chemicals out food from the store is coated in between herbicides and pesticides and insecticides and fertilizers. I do not use any of which in my gardening, i believe in all natural, i compost to make fertile rich soil, i companion plant to keep away pests and bugs as well as use netting and hot houses etc. It was a long learning process, and my goal is to make it easier for others to learn so together we can all make a positive impact on our enviroment. I have plans to open a recycling center in my hometown for, plastic, cardboard, metal of all types and electronic waste of all types in the near future depending on funding.

Here and there i may also share some of my hobbies such and cryptocurrency trading and mining,, gaming..fixing and building computers, and antique picking and flipping.. Maybe even some pictures of my cats and some life stories. But the main part will be on gardening and being sustainable and enviromentally friendly

Also im 420 friendly, I find it helps with anxiety, and keeps me from craving anything else,, been clean of hard drugs for 8 years and i do not drink.

Just for fun here's some pics of my cats( as kittens) will have some newer ones in my other blogs... the first two little shitheads, Lucifer and shiva, brother and sister, were rescue's... i found them and their mom and 2 other kittens abandoned, gave the mom and 2 away and kept these two,,, and the next two, ginger and loki were my first two cats gave to me by a friend that was overloaded with kittens as her cats got knocked up by a stray. still have all 4, lucifer and shiva are now just over a year, and ginger and loki are almost 3 years old.
