In the Canadian Tradition, Please Forgive Me for Reintroducing Myself.

My first attempt at introducing myself to Steemit was a flop; I rambled on about the letter Q, about rabbits and the holes they make us fall into and about god knows what else!

So let me try again. I'm hoping the above video featuring Louis Armstrong will fulfill my mission.

No? It doesn't?

Okay, well, if you don't think it does a good job of introducing me, then maybe there is hope for us all!

What do I mean? Who is this crazy Canuck?

Well, if you believe there is any importance to what I mean, to what things mean, or assign value to meaning itself, or to who I am as a human being, then you are certainly someone who can't possibly agree with the post-modernist drivel being taught in our universities today about the 'death of the author', touted by the likes of Roland Barthes, a (dead) French Continental Philosopher who wrote a book called 'Death of the Author' back in the mid 20th century who, nevertheless, will ironically and eternally be known as its author.

Instead, you must think highly of authorship; and, for that, I commend you! You have chosen to not exist - or subsist - in an artificially-created post-modern matrix. Bravo to you!

It also means you care about who I am and about what I mean about what I write. Wow! That's highly unusual in this relativistic, nihlistic, liberal, leftist, socialist, politically correct, western post-modern day and age.

I live in the same Canadian Province Dr. Jordan Peterson lives in, and face the same socio-political challenges here, in Ontario, that he faces, albeit, on a far lesser scale. If you haven't yet heard of Professor Peterson's work, I won't go so far as to say you've been living under a rock; rather, I will respectfully recommend that you go look him up on YouTube. His work is enlightening, to say the least.

Have I reintroduced myself to you?

I don't feel like I have done so successfully which means I'll have to re-reintroduce myself in the next post.
