Hi Steemians, I am Fayçal and I am new to the Steem community ! I am French so excuse me if you see some mistakes
I am a young journalist and I would like to bring a bit of my work (and passion) here on steem. I Live in Paris and I work as an intern in a monthly magazine which talks, for the most part, for old people. I wrote articles about health, saving money, retirement, etc…
But also more fun articles, recently about Pokémon Go. I explained the game’s concept in a short article in order to help old people understand what is it about and why not download it to play with their kids/grand-kids. And I was very pleased to have people calling me at my office to say they did actually test the game after reading my article!
As part of my school courses, I learn photography and filming with a camera. And now I can affirm that I love it. Especially in my work. “A picture can say a thousand words”, and I think that a video can say about a million! That’s why I love these two ways of giving an information to people. Even though I work in a print magazine, I filmed and edited several news reports that I published in my school’s weekly news.

My employer liked my videos so he asked me to shoot some content during the summer for the magazine’s website. So right now I am balancing writing, filming, editing, photography. And I love that!
Enough of my work. I am also passionate about sports. At first, I dreamed to be a sports journalist. but after working in several medias, I became aware that what I love about my job is that I can discover new things, meet new people, sometimes help them, etc. and not just write about the topic I am really keen on which is sports. I practiced a lot of them: Soccer (or football in Europe), Rugby, Tennis, Basketball, Track and field, etc... I have always been doing some kind of physical activity since I was a kid. Now I really enjoy Powerlifting / Olympic weightlifting as I discovered it during my rugby years. I can’t imagine a day without moving.
Other things I like a lot too: food, music, comics, video games, new technologies, and many more things I will forget. I also really love Anglo-Saxon culture. However, I have never been in any English speaking country. One of the things I would like the most is not just going on holidays to the US, for example, but to live there for a while and experience the American way of life, why not working there too?
I never had a blog or something like that, so that is why I am coming to steemit so I can bring here a bit of my skills. Whether it is by writing some informational or fun content, publishing videos, or just simply show some of my pictures I took for my work.

In France, Steemit isn’t known by a lot of people. So I am thinking of suggesting to write an article about it for one of the big newspapers in France (such as “Le Monde”, a very prestigious daily newspaper every journalist wants to write for, just like the “Time” or “The Guardian” I assume). I think Steemit is an awesome platform and I want it to be known also in France, so we can have some articles in French too. What do you think of this idea? Let me know!
Here are some of the pictures I took for me to enjoy or for articles I wrote in the different magazines I have been working in. Hope you enjoy it !
