Chicago's Crime-Rate and Social Related Issues - GUN TRAINS!!!!!

First of all - A question to ask yourself before reading on, " WHO IS COVERING REAL CHICAGO NEWS?" The reason for this Blog and eventually video series, is just that - From the eyes of someone living in Chicago.

What's going on in Chicago? Why is it that Chicago's crime-rate is so high? What are the challenges we as Chicagoan's face with all of this crime?

My name is FoundtheWind aka Tom and I'd like to discuss this underrated issue that continues to plague our city. I chose to talk about Chicago, because no one really is at this moment. It appears Steem as of right now is focused more on the Crypto Currency related curation rather than NEWS, LIFE and other important factors of community that could help this outlet flourish one day.

For starters, I'd like to say for one, that, although Chicago's murder rate is extremely high and as well the amount of cars being stolen daily is high, this is STILL A GREAT CITY! There are still a ton of great people, here, there, and everywhere. There are even people in gangs that are still good people - Not that I know any people in gangs, but it's apparent that if YOU GREW UP IN CERTAIN PARTS OF THIS CITY, YOU HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO JOIN A GANG. I know that from talking to people. The problem is, at a young age, growing up in the hood, you have a choice. You could either get beat up walking home from school by rival gangs, or join up. Simply said, I'm not going to go into specifics, this is just an example.

I drive a car for a living. I interact with a ton of people on a daily basis. White, Black, Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Yellow people all day. I am the same person generally with all of the people I encounter on a daily basis. I don't choose to be racist with certain "stereotypes" of people because I believe in something called FAITH and RESPECT. By generally I mean, as long as my passenger, passengers aren't rude to me when I pick them up, then we could usually have a decent chat about whatever. Sometimes the complexities of life, sometimes music, sometimes whatever. I'm open-minded, so the subject of the conversation doesn't at all matter.

My point is, a giant percentage of people in this city aren't gun toting, car jacking, bad people. But, my point also is, WHY AREN'T NEWS OUTLET'S COVERING CHICAGO'S REAL ISSUES??

For instance, some years back, a train on Chicago's South-Side was robbed..... You ask, what was in the train that made it so valuable. You would never believe me if I told you, but, GUNS!!!! There were a ton, I mean a metric f#@$@# ton of GUNS. This put a ton of really nice, brand new guns on the street among other things, like WAY MORE GUN VIOLENCE. I do believe indeed that this caused there to be a surge in crime on the South-Side. Check out the link below for a complete breakdown of what happened/

I'm not going to go into extreme detail at this time about all of Chicago's social and crime issues because I believe these things could be covered later in other posts and videos which I intend to do.

Ideally, I'd like to cover a lot of these issues later.
